Dark, Bold, and Exactly How I Like My Coffee

Dark Magic is one of those K-Cups that actually lives up to the “dark roast” description. I like my coffee strong and full flavored, and Green Mountain did a good job with this one. It has a deep roasted flavor that comes through even when I brew a larger cup. What I appreciate most is that it doesn’t taste weak or watered down like some K-Cups can. It has enough intensity to get my morning started, but I don’t find the flavor unpleasant or overwhelmingly bitter. I can drink it black, but it also holds up well when I add creamer. The convenience is another reason I keep K-Cups around. Pop one into the Keurig and I have a good cup of dark coffee in a couple of minutes without making an entire pot. The 32-count box is a decent size for keeping a supply on hand without taking up too much room. If you prefer mild or lighter coffee, Dark Magic probably isn’t going to be your cup of coffee. The only K-Cup that actually delivers a rich, bold dark roast

I can confidently say these are the best K-Cups I have ever used. Most single-serve pods struggle to deliver a true dark roast experience, but Dark Magic brews an exceptionally bold, intense cup of coffee. It has a surprisingly complex flavor profile for a pod, featuring subtle notes of bittersweet dark chocolate and dried fruit. It finishes smooth without the burnt or overly acidic aftertaste that ruins a lot of other dark roasts. It stands up beautifully to a splash of milk or cream without losing its robust coffee flavor. A very mellow, yet robust coffee with raspberry and cocoa notes

I never tried this brand of coffee as I am a Starbucks coffee lover. I did get the chance to try it and my honest opinion is that it tastes delicious but closer to a dessert coffee . It kind of had rich flavors of raspberry and chocolate. It seemed very rich in complexity but did not have an aftertaste of bitterness. It seems lighter in profile than Starbucks as Starbucks has very deep , notes of smokey marshmallow and caramel topped with dark chocolate. Dark Magic is my favorite dark roast. I first enjoyed as loose coffee then discovered it for Keurig. It is not acidic or bitter. The Amazon price is great!!!
