At first I was disappointed, because I didn't realize from the "photos" that there would be a slat-width gap between each slat. But these actually work wonderfully! I use them on my twin XL folding cot, underneath a tatami mat and Japanese futon. I think these slats are supportive enough to protect the tatami from damage, and the whole "bed sandwich" is strong enough to support both me and my spouse sitting on it (which is no small feat). I'm using Gorilla Grip because the slats still kind of slip around -- the fabric shell keeping the slats together doesn't have any grip of its own -- but all in all, these work great! The only thing that frustrates me is, one wooden board on the very outside actually arrived warped, and it still hasn't settled down. ... show more

The size is a perfect fit for a twin size mattress. It's sturdy enough and stays in place. Doesn't move around for me at all. I only wish there wasn't those gaps between each slat. Make sure you order the correct form, either vertical or horizontal. I wasn't expecting much since but this came far better than I thought it'd be. Great work. ... show more

Firstly the measurements advertised are 39 inches across. As you can see by the picture,this is incorrect. After my child on the top bunk who weights less than 40 pounds fell through the top bunk and landed on her sister on the bottom bunk we took the slats out of the cover to measure them and they are almost a full inch shorter than advertised. So when my daughter who weighs next to nothing layed down this covered slat base bowed down out of place causing it to slip through. Fortunately my daughter on bottom only got a small bruise. And my daughter on top was scared out of her effin mind thinking she was gonna die. This is bs shortcutting likely to save money by the company. Myself and wife are furious. ... show more
