  • Excellent KVM Switch And Great Seller Communications.
I like stuff that just works and this little box fits that description perfectly! Took just a few minutes to connect everything and be up and running. No issues with either of my PCs, one 7 years old running Windows 10 Pro and my new system running Windows 11 Pro. The box itself: Built well with quality components (with only one minor concern that I will get to in a minute). It is compact in size which can save some space on an already cluttered desktop. Functionality: As I said at the beginning of this review this box simply does what it is supposed to do. And it does it well with no issues. - Switch time between PCs: Just over 3 seconds. No KVM is instantaneous and just over 3 seconds is a very respectable spec and easy to live with. - Picture: Sharp and clear with no issues like flickering or dimming that you get on some other switches at this price range and even higher. - Wireless Keyboard And Mouse: This switch handles them flawlessly with no delays from click or key press to execution. (Again, something other switches can have a problem with). - USB Speeds: While I no longer have the equipment to test this I see no difference in performance with this switch than plugging straight into a port on either PC. The USB 3.0 port in particular showed very impressive results in data transfer speeds, even with a multi-port hub connected and transferring to and from multiple devices at once. Wishlist and areas I think could see some improvement: - Included Cables: It is a nice touch that the seller includes ALL of the cables necessary to get the switch setup and running quickly. They are not cheap, thin cables either, BUT THEY ARE SHORT cables. The USB cables in particular barely reached my second PC which is located on a separate surface a few feet away. While I do understand that keeping the USB cables as short as possible can help improve data transfer speeds, for the average user the difference between using a 3 ft. cable and a 6 ft. cable is marginal at best. While the cables being USB 3.0 spec is great they need to be longer. - Switch Button: Earlier I mentioned that I had one minor concern about the build quality and this is it. The switch button itself is plastic which leads me to questions of longevity. Again, this is only a MINOR concern. When pressing the button you get a very solid feeling with no mushiness at all. I believe the actual switch itself is likely a well built and quality component the button needs improvement. Which brings me to.... - No Remote Switch Button: This is a wishlist item of mine for this great little box. Since I prefer and use a small desk and keep the box on top it's not an issue for me to reach out and hit the button. But if a person wanted to hide the box for a cleaner look or to save space on a cluttered desktop as some do then a remote switch is necessary. Although it would increase the overall size, it would be just a tiny bit and in my estimation would be a very welcome addition whether needed or not. - LEDs: They need to be two different colors for the indicators that tell which PC is in use. This would make for a simple quick glance situation that would come in handy when you have been away from your desk for a while and can't remember which system you were using last. Definitely not necessary, but would be a nice touch. Lastly I want to take a minute to give a shout out to the seller GREAT -HT. Before my purchase I reached out to them with a technical question and they replied very quickly and gave a thorough answer. After purchase they in turn reached out to me with a very friendly message to thank me for my purchase and to let me know that I could contact them anytime in the future should I ever have a question or a concern. This is the kind of excellent customer service that earns repeat business. I know they will get mine. Therefore the seller also gets 5 stars. In summary this is a great product from an excellent seller and I have no reservations in giving it a rating of 100% Recommended!!! ... show more

  • Smooth Operation - Keyboard, mouse, printer, webcam, webcam mike
Style: USB 2.0
This is a very high value product. It's inexpensive yet gives very clean and smooth operation. I have set this up to switch between a 2012 Mac mini/Catalina 10.15.7 and a Geekom PC/windows 11. The keyboard is an Apple USB full keyboard with a Targus mini Mouse. The display is a Samsung LU28R55. It takes about 3 or 4 seconds to switch between systems, and at least 1 or 2 seconds of that is the recovery time of the computer. Keyboard, mouse, printer, webcam and webcam mike all plug into the USB hub on the front of the KVM switch. The only peripheral that doesn't switch via USB are my Arvika speakers. I have ordered a USB to 3.5mm jack adapter to see if that will also switch. So far, I've run 4k movies and any program I want to use on either machine without a problem. It seems almost too good to be true that such an inexpensive little box can make KVM usage so effortless. ... show more

  • Solid performance for a reasonably straightforward 2-computer configuration
Style: USB 2.0
This unit fired up and worked perfectly, without any sort of "setup" beyond plugging all the cables in. I have a desktop with an HDMI port, and a laptop with an HDMI port. Just one large HDMI screen, so no need for multi-monitor support. Both machines "wake up" on demand when selected, and I have had absolutely no issues with the attached HDMI display. My keyboard/mouse are a fairly generic wireless Logitech kit. I just moved the receiver from one of the computers to the USB port on the KVM, and no further setup was needed. The unit itself is plenty small, and just sits on top of my desktop chassis. All cables exit towards the rear, which works well for me. The K/M receiver is on the front of the unit, but is very low-profile, so it works well there. As I noted, my setup is nothing fancy, but this product meets the need perfectly at a very reasonable cost. ... show more

  • Takes too long to switch between monitors
Style: USB 2.0
I bought this switch so I can use one keyboard/mouse and monitor for two computers. Maybe it's just me but I don't think it should take several seconds to switch from one monitor to the other. I gave it two stars because it is well made, has extra usb ports and does indeed switch between two computers. It would be a lot better without the lag. ... show more

  • Great for switching between computers
Style: USB 2.0
Currently I have one laptop with 2 extra monitors for work and one desktop with a single monitor for home. The desktop and laptop actually share my largest monitor via this KVM switch. The back of the device contains 2 hdmi IN ports (for the two devices sharing the monitor) and one hdmi OUT port (goes out to the monitor). There are also 2 usb ports to connect to each computer. The front of the device contains the button that allows you to switch between devices and an indicator light to tell you whether the left or right computer is selected. There are also 4 usb ports which are active for whichever computer is selected. I dont use the usb as I have separate keyboard and mouse for each computer but if you want each computer to share the same input devices then you can plug them into the usb ports on the front. Ive used this for a week now and am satisfied with my purchase. My only minor complaint is that I wish the switch button was on the top of the device instead of the front. ... show more

  • Great to have for dual laptop use
Style: USB 2.0
Having dual laptops, one from work and one for client access, and the need to have both online, made it difficult to swap back and forth. I have a common monitor, but moving cables from laptop to laptop, not fun. This KVM switch was the answer. It comes with the USB cables and the hardest part of connecting it all up was getting some velcro to make the cable runs neat. No software, no updating, Just plug it in and good to go. One thing to note is if you have the screen duplicated with the common monitor, no issue swapping back and forth. If you have a screen extended, when you move away and then come back, all the windows will be on the laptop and you'll have to drag back to the common monitor. ... show more
