So Here is my take on this machine thus far. You start with the bottom holder box. (Book is microscopic, small and still is not detailed enough) with that. I began as the book shows. The placement of the tiny screws and their location is ridiculous. I got nerve damage in my hand a couple of years ago. long story short because of the dumb location you HAVE to use needle nose pliers to hold the nut and use a small screwdriver for the screw. (THIS was the most Time-consuming part of all this. and make sure they are tight just not overtight. also, what will be the two side plates on the bottom box. One has 4 holes (which will hold the handle, and the other side six. Make sure the HANDLE part is on the 4-hole side. I made sure it was to the right as you look at it. aside from that the rest isn't too bad. DO NOT over tighten the wheels either. (They won't roll correctly if you do). Now we come to the top. you see the magnet to the top right on the inside of the machine? and then where the handle on the door when closed attaches. Loosen the two screws on each side of the magnet INSIDE and push it back, then retighten the screws. (it is adjustable) even then, it is still slightly opened, and I need time to work on that issue. Once that issue is addressed, then I will focus on the actual popping. I ordered the popcorn made for these and the machine came a day early (which is fine) but have to wait for tomorrow for the popcorn. SO it sits for now. So at this time this is the review. I didn't find any tiny dinks like some did. so we shall see....... ... show more

I love this popcorn machine and the popcorn packs that I bought with it. Wipe down the kettle and inside before first use. Every batch has been better then the first. Perfect popcorn everytime. Best present I have gotten my family and myself in a long time. Very happy I got the wheel stand, makes it easier to have and move around. Popcorn uses coconut oil and is a healthier option. It’s a bit hard to put the oil in. I wish the kettle was turned or the door was on the other side. It was sent without the handle so we have two unused holes on one side too. It looks great in our house and we used it for two birthday parties aready!

We bought this to replace our 15 year old popper. The first one we got had a kettle issue where the sweeper didn't touch the bottom and it wasn't adjustable. It couldn't make a decent batch no matter what we tried, so we returned it and got a replacement. The replacement works great and makes fabulous popcorn. The media could not be loaded. Bought this for my wife for Christmas 🎄 and couldn't be happier with it. Great quality and look to it. Makes delicious popcorn 🍿 every time. Also Bought the packs of popcorn/ oil/salt for this specific brand and makes it even easier. The stirrer would not work once assembled, I tool off the top plate and found the hot wire for it was not properly secured into the connector mount.     • 3.0 out of 5 stars Low-cost Chinese manufacturing - minimally adequate with a few flaws - good luck getting support.
For the price, this is a "pretty good" value, but you are not paying for a high-end item here. First the positives: -Delivery was quick and the packaging was well-designed to protect the product (though not particularly easy to unpack!) -Assembly was relatively painless, just pay attention to the pictures. -The kettle heats very quickly and makes quick work of a full 8oz batch of popcorn. You will not need to wait long for the kettle to preheat. -The stirrer mechanism does a decent job of keeping the popcorn moving, and it's mercifully quiet. I've encountered no problems whatsoever with scorching or burning. -The kettle is a convenient, modular design that can be quickly removed with no tools, which makes for *relatively* easy cleaning. -The heating deck and heat lamp do a good job keeping popcorn warm and fresh until it's all been served. -The finish and graphics on the outside of the unit look nice and were in great shape. -If you follow the directions, you will get delicious movie-theater grade popcorn. Some gripes with the product itself: -The steel is the thinnest possible grade that will still do the job. The chute, kettle lid, handle/shelf, decking and old-maid tray feel flimsy and the unfolded edges are likely to cut your fingers if you aren't careful. Yes it's stainless, but it's not at all "heavy duty." The aluminum scoop is the flimsiest such utensil I've ever seen. We bought a nicer one to replace the one that came with it. -The kettle lid fits so loosely (likely to ease assembly at the factory) that the cam on the stirrer shaft can't reach the lid to close it while popping - this means you will have un-popped kernels and oil splatters all over the inside of the popcorn maker. This is because the first bit to pop pushes both lids into the open position and they stay there. There is a metal cam that is designed to push the lids closed when this happens - but it doesn't work as designed due to the way the hinges on the lid are formed to be over-sized. The other issue with the kettle lid is that due to the super thin material, the lids are so light that the first few serious pops blow them to the full open position. Heaver lids would go a long way to solving the single biggest issue with this popcorn maker. (I fashioned some weights out of washers that functionally improve this situation considerably - but this shouldn't be necessary!) -The instructions and pictures indicate that there is a tray on one side of the cart and a handle on the other side. This has been cost-reduced to a single tray/handle piece of the same thin stainless material mentioned above. It's a cheap feeling single part that was originally two pieces on either side of the cart. -The stirrer itself in my unit was bent upward to such a degree that it couldn't adequately stir the popcorn. I had to disassemble the kettle lid and bend and straighten and tinker with the stirrer until it was close enough to the floor of the kettle to do it's job. Once I had it shaped properly, it worked very well. Fortunately the stirrer is a fairly strong piece that holds it's shape when bent. -The graphics on the plastic popcorn buckets that come with it become sticky and smeared if you run them through the dishwasher - not just faded - but sticky. Weird! Some gripes about the company: -There is an 800 number on their web site. It's not in service. -Their "customer support" routes you to a 3rd party customer support company who has little or no knowledge of the products they are supporting, and apparently no ability to look up your invoice or order information. -The manual has errors due to the fact the design has undergone cost reductions (e.g. the missing handle.) This is a volume operation who's selling a very low-margin product and has cut every possible imaginable corner to keep costs low. Many of the trade-offs are sensible, but a few, like the loose fitting lid are just a little bit over the line of reasonable. If you are up for some fiddling and tinkering and will find a sense of satisfaction in working out the kinks to capitalize on a bargain, this is a great value. If you want a turn-key, plug and play, worry-free popcorn maker, you might experience some disappointment and/or annoyance - consider spending 2 or 3 times this amount for a high-end unit that will meet your expectations. ... show more

This popcorn machine is a nice addition to our theater room. We used the Great Northern pre-measured popcorn kit and it popped quickly and tasted great. Only negative would be cleaning. There is no easy way to clean because it's a small space, but you'll have thos issue with any popcorn machine.

No instructions of any kind. No assembly diagram or anything. No user manual. No cleaning instructions. I mean come on at least tell me how much popcorn and oil to use. note a few screws and nuts are very small.. countersunk screws are no mote than 5/16 long at a nut head I can nearly not hold with my mitts ?1/8" which was obstructed by how they had a mount for the legs. only a 5 year old has small enough fingers to put it together ... show more
