Works like a charm! These are very attractive and work very well. The grind mechanism produces a nice size grain which is easily switched from coarse to fine, depending upon your preference. The blue light, far from being just a gimmick, really does help illuminate what is being seasoned. They do require a lot of batteries, 6 each, but so far they don't seem to be "battery hogs" and are still grinding away! Very happy with them.

Definitely works as promised. It's more of a gimmick I guess than anything else. I purchased a set from Amazon about 4 years ago where you would push the top button with your thumb but they fell off the counter one time and broke in half. My fault they fell but because they're tubular they roll easy. These are also round and we will be more careful to set them back in their base but it is cool to just flip your wrist and flip it back so I say they work as promised and I'm very happy with them and I love the light as an added feature I would recommend

Where have these been all of my life?? This is a very simple item but is one of the best purchases that I have ever placed on Amazon. The salt and pepper grinders are ahead of their time. You just put your salt and pepper in these containers and once you flip it over to the poor position that's what activates it to grind your pepper and salt and put it on your food. Buy these you will not be disappointed, like I said it's one of the greatest inventions of all time! I give the seller and A++

These mills are GREAT! I've had mine for over a year & my daughter loves them so much that I just bought one for her birthday. You can easily adjust the grind on them to make it finer or more course, depending on what you're seasoning. WARNING: You'll need 12 AAA batteries that are NOT included. That being said, I haven't had to replace mine yet & it's been WELL over a year. 10/10

These automatic salt and pepper grinders are absolutely fantastic. Just insert 6 AAA batteries into each grinder before loading them with salt and pepper (I use Pink Himalayan salt and whole peppercorns). Simply turn them upside down over your salad or food and they automatically and quickly grind into your meal. Easy peasy. There is no adjustment capability however and the salt and pepper grind small which is fine for me. So easy to refill. The black color is pretty universal for any tabletop decor. I found out about them via Consumer Reports who raved about them. They were RIGHT!

I first submitted my review with 5 stars as both grinders worked great. However, a few months after buying it I noticed the one containing salt didn't work. I tried replacing the batteries but that didn't seem to be the issue. I looked on the inside and noticed it looked wet and the batteries and the connections looked corroded. It's a shame the one with pepper continues to work but I still need one for salt. I'll deduct half the stars as only one works. These are great in the kitchen when cooking, easy to operate, helpful to season food quickly and keep clean.
