  • Works well for me
I made a filter out of this sheet for my 8" dobsonian. For an 8x8 sheet, it actually is a little smaller than the 8" aperture of my telescope, so instead i made a 6 inch filter. The result is good as my camera can capture the dark spot clearly (after some siril postprocessing).

  • Does exactly what it needs to do.
This easily does exactly what you'd want it to do. It cuts easily to size and allows eclipse photography and videography. Nothing to complain about.

  • not flimsy like others ive seen
This solar filter film is not flimsy like some other films, which make construction of a reusable solar filter much easier. its not prone to wrinkle and warp as much as the thinner films. if you are reasonably careful you can get a nice flat solar filter...I know it probably doesn't matter for sun observations, but it does help, your not dealing with a delicate super thin film that be difficult to position into place. ... show more

  • Did not work for eclipse
Tried to use on two binoculars and a spotting scope. Could not see out of any of them. Eclipse glasses worked great, but not this film. Very disappointed.
