  • Black Tusq XL nut. An exact fit for a Les Paul clone and a kit neck. 5 Stars.
This is the best nut I have ever dealt with on a guitar. I actually bought this for a Les Paul kit I’m building, but I have another guitar that I wanted to try it on. This nut will fit both guitars with only minimal, if any adjustments. On the guitar I just put it on, the action finally came down to where I wanted it. The tuning is much easier and so far stays in tune better. And a buzz on theG string I never could nail down is gone. Bottom line. I’m ordering this nut again for the kit guitar. And I expect it to perform as just as well and have no problems. These nuts require a good amount of measurement to insure an accurate fit. I nailed this one and got exactly what I needed. Well worth the money. Nut came well packaged to protect it, and with a nice “handwritten” note. ... show more

  • Too small for LTD EC-256
This is too small for LTD EC-256. It sits too low. What fit mine was the PT-6143-00 . The 6143 fit perfectly!! No sanding just a spot of glue and it stays in tune perfectly.

  • Great for 3L 3R tuners
My OLP McSwain guitar needed a Tusq nut bad. After the nut the strings go far left & right to the tuners & my wound G string would snag & break constantly. This nut should fix that. For this guitar I had to file & shape the nut quite a bit to fit but it turned out perfect and to my surprise the slot heights were all spot on as it came. If you own the same guitar you will have to either curve the bottom of the nut or flatten the curve in your guitar’s nut cavity. I flattened the cavity on mine fyi. ... show more

  • Drop in fit for ESP
This is a drop in fit for an ESP EC-256 or EC-1000 according to ESP themselves. I called and asked, and sure enough it’s perfect. No modifications required. Just use some Elmer’s glue to glue it in place and string up your guitar. The pressure from the strings will hold it in place while the glue dries. DO NOT use any glue that is stronger then Elmer’s or when you when it comes to replacing the nut again (they do wear down) you will never get it off and if you do you tear off some wood in the process which is a nightmare to fix if fixable at all. ... show more

  • Too small for ESP E-II M-II
I have an ESP E-II M-II and this nut is ever so slightly too short in length and too short in height. The width and string spacing is spot on though. I put Tusq nuts in all of my guitars as they are great. After researching deeper it appears that the 6642 nut fits most ESP\LTD guitars, however, not all. For the ESPs that the 6642 isn't quite big enough (ESP E-II and others) the 6143 is the right fit as it is taller and longer by a hair. I've ordered the 6143 so fingers crossed that this time it fits !!! ... show more

  • Need to Shim for Viper-256
A little short for an ESP LTD Viper-256, I had to shim it a bit to get it the same height as the factory nut. There's other nuts from Graph Tech that might just drop in, but this one has a 14" radius (per Graph Tech's website), and ESP/LTD's mostly have a 14" fretboard radius (ideally the nut radius should match your fretboard radius...). ... show more
