My husband and I bought these two dining chairs right before Christmas 2023. Delivery was about 5 days prior to the expected delivery date (nice!); however, we received the bar-height chairs vs. the dining chairs. We immediately went through the Amazon portal to report the error and get details of correcting the order. We worked with Sherry in customer service and she was extremely helpful! We followed her directions, and in less than a week we had received the correct chairs and a return label to ship the other chairs back. We find the quality of the Grand Patio chairs excellent - good looking, very sturdy and comfortable, and true to the description found on Amazon. Not that hard to put together but having 2 people is helpful through some steps. Chairs are comfortable and support my big behind. Nice looking too. I do need to give a big shout out to their customer service. While building the third of forth chairs, I found a defect in one of the parts. Rather than asking me to disassemble the first two for return, the customer service sent me a replacement part, that had to come from their mfg'ing site in China. The customer service was always prompt in their communications and were very supportive getting me the part in good time. So far so good. The chairs are as advertised. Very comfortable, ergonomic, sturdy. Time will tell if they're durable. My only complaint is the usual that the instructions are confusing at best. All the nuts, bolts, washers etc come in a blister pack with each being labeled alphabetically. However none of the labels correspond to the parts in the instruction. So there's a lot of guess work as to which size bolt goes where in the assembly. The video helped somewhat but not much. I had to take apart something I had bolted together several times and redo it which made the assembly more time consuming that it should have. Thus the 4 star review. ... show more

This is the second time I've purchased a set of these patio chairs and up until this order, we have been very satisfied with them. I ordered a second pair for my 93 yr old dad that likes to set on his front porch, for his Father's Day present. He liked ours so we bought him 2 as well. We assembled the first chair without any problems. Took us between 60-90 minutes. (We're older folks!) But no problems. Starting on the 2nd chair, we got thru the 1st step, which is unfolding the back and seat and inserting the appropriate bolts. Then the 2nd step was to attach the arms. The holes did not match up no matter how we tried. Looking closer the support bar located at the top of the back (head) area was dislodged. You cannot re-align that bar. Looking closer, the fabric is wrong side out. The seams that are supposed to be on the underside are on top. (like wearing your jeans inside out) We did not inspect the pieces before beginning the assembly. Didn't expect problems. BUT, I highly recommend you look at all pieces FIRST. All the fasteners & caps were there, but the blister pack is a bit confusing. We went thru the parts list matched up the pieces and drew arrows to the corresponding fastener descriptions. I have requested a replacement for the 2nd chair. Received an RMA number. We kept the original packaging (always do that) put the 2nd chair in the box and took it to UPS this morning. I am skeptical if we will receive just one chair as they are sold as a set. But we were not about to dis-assemble the 1st chair and return it. Guess we will see what happens. For now, Dad will have at least one swivel-rocker he can enjoy on Father's Day! They are nice, we really like them. This was a "FACTORY" quality control/assembly issue. I hope they make it right. **** UPDATE: 07/02/23 **** Grand Patio replaced the defective chair. Customer Service Reps. Rita & Nikki were very easy to work with. We assembled both chairs with no problems at all. I do suggest you use your own metric tools. Ball drivers work best for attaching the arms/front seat bar step. Every single internal hex bolt rounded off during assembly. I am an ASE Master Technician and certainly know how to tighten nuts and bolts. I had to make a trip to the hardware store to complete assembly. Once assembled they are great chairs. The holes all lined up perfectly and assembly was a breeze once I obtained decent fasteners. There were complaints as I read through reviews that the blister pack of parts did not coincide with the instructions HOWEVER I’m pleased to say mine matched. I’m 65 & it took me about 1 1/2 hours to assemble alone. I ordered the black & very impressed with the pattern of the seat fabric.
