The media could not be loaded. I am so excited about this. This video is the first time I used this thing ever and it was so easy. I’m only using one hand too since I’m filming. This is great for dandelions and other weeds that just break when you try and pull. As you can see it gets most the weed out! This works great and is super easy to use. It’s pretty lightweight too. My spade shovel is heavier. I can’t wait to give it a try on more areas of the yard! I’m trying to reduce the amount of chemicals I use so this is great and won’t take super long.

This weeder, the same one used in the 80s, is incredibly durable and works exceptionally well. It effortlessly pulls weeds, and its construction is of high quality, making it easy to use.

This tool works well unless the weeds are growing in gravel. You will need to rake the gravel out of the way to be able to push the tool down around the weeds. It’s easy to use and is capable of pulling large weeds out by the root. Works especially well if the ground is soft and moist after a rainfall. The height of the tool is perfect and it is solidly built.

We got this weeder because it promised a 45” handle. That’s close to the size of a typical garden tool, so we thought that it would be easier to handle than our similar tool that is much shorter. First off, we were surprised at the size of the box when it came. How can a garden tool fit in that small box? We thought maybe the handle and the head were separate and you had to put it together yourself. Although, we didn’t remember that in the description. So we opened it up and found a short, intact tool. We measured it right away. The handle is only 37”. The whole tool is 44”. We were irritated at the incorrect description and wanted to return it. But we decided to try it out. After all, it is longer than our other tool. Surprisingly, it does work at that length. So the function of the tool is not the issue. It plucks weeds as promised, actually a little easier than the other tool. Of course, both tools only pluck certain types of weeds with hefty enough root systems to grab. Tiny, baby weeds with weak roots don’t seem to grab, but that’s another issue. The tools generally work as they’re supposed to. It’s the length of the tool that makes the work backbreaking or stand-up. Ultimately, we decided to keep it because it is a bit better than the other one. We just wish that it actually was as long as other garden tools, and as long as promised. A longer handle would give enough to work with that you may not have to bend or lean at all. A 37” handle means that you still have to lean a little. So we would not call this a complete stand-up weeder. But neither is it a bend-over-and-hoe type of tool. It’s right in the middle of helpful-but-not-perfect gardening. That’s why we gave it a 3. The inaccurate description deserves a 1, but it does work, so it deserves a couple of points.
