Assembly took my husband and I a few hours, but it wasn’t hard. The dresser looks nice, especially after we switched out the hardware for something a little more sleek, but one of the drawers came with damage to the front. It’s just annoying enough to drive me crazy (especially for the price of this thing) but not bad enough to pack up two whole boxes of wood and return it. That’s probably what they’re counting on though. Overall, it’s a decent nice looking piece. Pine wood is pretty soft so it won’t last forever but for the price point and the fact that it’s green guard certified you can’t beat it. ... show more

This is a beautiful dresser wtih good quality wood. I put it together myself by flipping it on its side and sometimes top so you dont really need two people if you have a few brain cells and a general understanding on how Gravity works! I've bought and assembled 5 pieces from Grainwood now, three dressers and two nightstands. The engineering is precise, which makes assembly a snap. Once together everything is solid and sturdy. The hardware--slides, handles, etc--is good quality and works well. There was no strong chemical smell to this dresser and the two nightstands and I was able to move them into my bedroom immediately. The wood is only pine or other softwood but it's real wood with no particle board. That matters when assembling and years later. If you're looking at this you already know most of the furniture in stores is particle board with a picture of wood glued on the top. These are not that way. I highly recommend this and the other pieces I've bought from Grain Wood. ... show more

Very nice dresser. Came well packaged and is very well made. It's not difficult to put together, just time consuming. Only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the lack of pre drilled holes. Took much longer to get screws started without them.
