When it's a few weeks before graduation and the place you were supposed to get a "free cap and gown" from never actually delivers it to your school, this is the optimal backup plan. The texture of it is matte and fits as expected according to the size chart. Not too hot if you're graduating in the warmer months, but don't rely on it for warmth if you're graduating in winter. The cap was easily customizable if you're looking to put stickers or other decorations on it to celebrate. Great quality for the price point, and the fast shipping was appreciated!

We bought 2 of these for our graduating twins the school wanted $80 for one gown. this gown looked amazing compared to the ones we were supposed to buy. Everyone complimented the twins. The other parents were upset when they learn what I paid for it. The zipper in good quality and the material is nice and flowed really well. Both of them are still in picture box's hanging on their wall.

Love the thickness of the gown, not cheap like some. My son is 6'2 and it fits great. The length was good. We had an xxl, and would easily work for someone 6'4. Only 4 stars because the hat wouldn't fit his head. I know it's a standard size but I wish I could find one that fit his big head. Someone at the graduation gave him a better one that did fit after I spent hours hand stitching elastic in the hat. Other than that it was perfect.

Totally worth getting. The material is heavy enough to not look sheer at all, but still light enough to not feel too heavy or hot while wearing - even in Florida. NOTE: You MUST plan on ironing the gown in advance! Simply taking it out of the packaging and letting it hang - even for months as I did - will NOT get wrinkles out. Either take it to be ironed professionally or do so at home. IRONING: I just used a light misting of water (no starch, didn't want white flakes on the dark robe for pictures!) and a hot iron. Keep the iron moving, of course. I also used a thin tea towel as a buffer at first, just in case. I ended up not needing the tea towel, though. And.... those who had their gown ironed looked so polished! Those who did not iron... the wrinkles were noticeable in pictures, from on stage, etc. I felt so bad for the moms - they were upset at themselves for not thinking about / forgetting to iron it. OH! And I even --carefully-- ironed the wrinkles out of the cap! My daughter laughed at me, then was like - that actually looks a lot better... MomWin! TIP: You can buy garment bags on Amazon - a set of 10 black bags (with an ID Pocket and a clear window area to see a little of the garment) was only $30 total. That's only $3 per student for such a nice addition! Super cheap BUT not at all cheap looking! TIP: Add a hanger for the gown/cap (the cap has a loop you can use to loop onto the neck of the hanger!), a hanger for stoles/cords, and then a simple name tag with the grad's name on and slip that into the ID pocket of the garment bag.... and VOILA! For about $5 extra per student you have a fabulous presentation of all the graduation regalia AND great storage for it all, too. The Cap/Gown/Tassel arrived on time (very quickly), as did the other items, too. Think ahead, Graduation Committees! Order these WAY in advance (like DECEMBER for a May graduation) so you can order all that you need with no worries of shipment delays or back ordered issues (which happened to a few of us and we ordered in February!). All you need is the student's height to order the gown. Then, if you want, just add ~$5.00 to the Grad regalia costs to go towards the $3 garment bags from Amazon (tons to pick from) and $2 for a hanger or two (from Amazon, too.). We also got our honor stoles from Amazon - gold/yellow satin - which ended up being only $3 each, too. HUGE savings, especially for smaller private schools, homeschool co-ops. Just ask parents for their student's height and $25-$30 in the Fall to order ALL you need way in advance. Believe me, you will be so grateful to have done this the Fall/before Christmas Break come Feb/March!
