I am writing a review no parent ever wants to have to write. My one year-old was in this car seat in the back of my 2021 Toyota 4Runner limited. According to witnesses, we rolled 12 times. All airbags were deployed. My 1yo is alive because of this car seat. I owe his life to it. My truck held up surprisingly well considering how poorly these vehicles rate in rollover accidents. That is partly because of the aftermarket modifications i had done to it. While he is not 100% himself, he is alive and still smiling. I’ve owned many car seats throughout just the last 2 years mostly due to pickiness so when I finally narrowed down a new seat for my daughter I ended up choosing the milestone. When I first received the seat I immediately read through the manual and then decided to install both rear and forward facing to be sure it would work well for our needs. I chose to install the car seat rearfacing using the lower anchors since it’s my personal preference, I found it actually very easy to install (especially with the rapid remove cover and using the inside outside trick). Had no problems with either recline 1 or recline 2. However when I chose to install forward facing using seatbelt and top tether I did run into a few snags. Recline 4 I just could not get less than 1in of movement at the belt path front to back, no problems side to side though. I did get a sturdy install switching to recline 3 and twisting the belt stalk twice, not a huge thing but my oldest personally prefers no recline when forward facing and my daughter could easily follow the same steps which could make things difficult years down the line when she maxes out rearfacing. After playing with the different installs I put my daughter in to properly position the straps, the harness is absolutely one of my top favorites, it is so easy to tighten the straps. Definitely a top contender with our clek for ease of use. One downfall I did find is that it does seem to have a slightly narrower seat pan, definitely not as bad as our clicktight had but one I noticed when putting my daughter in in the car. Of course feet touching the seat when rearfacing isn’t a safety concern but it could be a comfort problem as she gets older (my middle son doesn’t like smaller seats and tends to cry in discomfort). Minus some drawbacks though I absolutely love this seat! My suggestion is to install it forward facing when you get it to check compatibility. But other than that it’s definitely one of the easiest to tighten and the rapid remove cover is an absolute life saver for potty training kids! ... show more

Let me start by saying that I love the Graco brand. This car seat is very high quality, easy to install, seems comfortable for tiny bums and I would imagine that it isn’t any harder to clean that any other seat. I really wanted to love the milestone 3-in-1 seat but for the price, it wasn’t everything I had hoped for. I’ve been searching high and low for a narrowest car seat to fit two (behind drivers seat and in the middle) in the middle row of my 2014 Ford Flex. Having the seats installed side by side is a necessity as I have other kiddos that need access to the third row seat. This car seat advertises as a little over 16 inches wide. I measured it and at its widest point and it is 18 inches. If I install two seats where I intend to have them, I cannot fold down the passenger seat to allow access to the back. Having done my research, I realize that I’m probably not going to find a seat that is more narrow than this one. I already own a Graco slim fit for my three year old and will probably purchase a second one for my 12 month old son as it’s half the price and has the same bells and whistles. Had the milestone 3-in-1 lived up to it’s description, I would have kept the two I ordered and given a five star rating but I just can’t justify paying an additional $100 per seat and not have the space saving feature. We purchased this as a second carseat to use for grandma/hubby and most importantly, travel. We also have the maxi cosi pria 85, but it is never leaving my car since it is hard to install, heavy and HUGE (still love it, but would not love if we had to move). I wanted a lighter car seat for travel, but also wanted babe to be safe and comfortable. I was also super picky on ease of installation since I would be installing in various rental cars that I wasn't super familiar with and likely when babe was tired/hungry/cranky or all of the above. This was the clear winner for ease of installation! I compared to the maxi cosi vello (still huge) and evenflo sureride (see my review there for comments on why this didn't work). I looked at many other car seats too that were either too heavy or had a low height/weight restriction. we have a 95th percentile height and weight babe and I didn't want her to physically grow out of the car seat after a year! This seat is easy to attach with latch, easy to tighten, and there is a level on one side to ensure its correctly installed. It is very easy to adjust the recline and the headrest/shoulder strap so would be quick to adjust for different sized kids! We put on lowest setting in the car seat bag and then quickly adjusted for babe. Babe seemed very comfortable and fell asleep often. I got in the pink/navy since it was cheapest but the colors are pretty cute. The cupholder is easily removable and there are slots on both sides. The base is pretty wide so might be an issue in the middle seat if necessary. My husband and I are both tall, so finding a seat that didn't take up too much room front to back was critical so we could still fit in the front seat. Rear facing, this is still cozy, but workable. This isn't the lightest of car seats, but we checked and I wore as a backpack while pushing the stroller from baggage claim. There is a sticker on the back that says it is approved for aircraft. I also liked that there is a handle to carry! I do wish the car seat was a little lighter for our use, but otherwise it is a definite 5/5 stars and best for us. ... show more
