  • Easy to use and clean.
Pattern Name: Paint Sprayer
Works great for all our paint jobs.

  • extremely useful for work
Pattern Name: Paint Sprayer
Got tired of used brushes and rollers, so gave this a try for touch up painting and all that good stuff. And I love this thing. So much faster and such a better finish then brush or roller gives. And clear up honestly feels about as fast. And this thing is super easy to clean, just hose off in sink. Then once all excess paint is washed off, you just blast water into port and switch being priming and spraying, well switch unclog mode and spray mode. Well the paint bucket thing you just use what is left with a brush to get those spots you can spray, then dump back into the can and just wash clean. This thing isn't a clean sprayer, since overspray you can't really control. And the high and low set don't do much to help, but less over spray on low. As for the settings you get a change in pump speed, so on high is easy to just mist an area since pumps fast enough. Well on low it's more stuttering on and off, the none constant spray is very noticeable. If you need a paint sprayer for small stuff and not doing full rooms, this is a great choice as your entry level item. Because say you a handyman or maintenance work. But if you need to do full rooms, just a none handheld since this thing this isn't meant for large volume painting. But it's super quick and easy to set up and clean up, so if you just need in and out this works great ... show more

  • Does NOT work with world's most popular enamels
Pattern Name: Paint Sprayer
Very deceptive manual requires that you be either a paint expert or a chemist. If you're not, you risk burning up your motor or turning the sprayer into a flame thrower!! Manual clearly says that it will work with oil-based enamels. I bought it specifically to paint a fence with Rust-oleum enamel. The most popular in the world. The manual does warn against flammable paints that contain specific chemicals. Here an EXAMPLE would have been nice (Such as the world's most popular enamel brand) BECAUSE paints don't generally list their ingredients or state that anything beyond their vapors are flammable. Graco expects customers to just KNOW such things or to request the information from the manufacturer after stating that oil-based enamels are OK. How did I know I had a problem? After priming I could not even expel the rinsing fluid as the sprayer locked up so bad that the center seam started to bust open and smoke billowed from the motor. No doubt Graco goes out of their way not to provide better warning in order to sell more spayers. Just enough of a warning to get pass a legal challenge but no enough to provide useful information. AGAIN, citing chemicals not listed on paint products is NOT helpful and making no mention that MOST of the oil-based enamels contain such chemicals is irresponsible at least and quite possibly dangerous. Needless to say, I am done with their products FOR LIFE. ... show more

  • Keep it Clean and Sealed!
Pattern Name: Paint Sprayer
Works great as long as you're careful to keep the paint reservoir sealed tightly. Any air in the system and paint won't flow. Use the included sealant stick and tighten everything up. The sprayer is noisy but effective. Cleaning after use is necessary to keep the pump from becoming clogged. I'd do it at the end of every painting session or day. I know, it's a pain. Paint to be used later can be stored in the reservoir (buy the optional plug) but the pump and nozzle must be kept clean. Some paint and stains are too thick and must be thinned to spray properly. The manual doesn't offer much info on doing this but Graco support will not warranty any clogs due to using a product requiring over a 0.015 nozzle or 2,000 psi. If the paint manufacturer recommends nozzles of 0.015-0.019 Graco call is a 0.019 paint, so be aware. This is a consumer/DIY sprayer not designed for heavy paints or usage. ... show more

  • Great sprayer if...
Pattern Name: Paint Sprayer
...If you do a thorough cleaning after each use and use the storage fluid when you put it away. We have sprayed fence stain and non-oil based paints multiple times with no clogging, sputtering, or other issues described by other buyers. We have stained fences, painted patio furniture, and restored indoor furniture with this sprayer with zero issues. The clean up is not difficult if you follow the simple instructions included with the sprayer. We are not frequent painters so we store it away months at a time. The next time we bring it out it works as good as day one. I don't understand why others have such a hard time with it. ... show more

  • Exceeded expectations. Good value so far.
Pattern Name: Paint Sprayer
Only 1 job in but performed super well. I bought this as a cheaper alternative to a traditional airless sprayer but was totally surprised by how well this thing performed. Sprayer had no trouble with Kilz 2 and ultra premium paint. I thought for sure I would have to thin it but it handled it just fine. At one point i had the trigger pulled for a minute straight and no issues. The gun did get hot at one point after extended use, so I let it cool off for a couple minutes and went back to work with no issues. ... show more

  • Not great, still better than using a brush or roller
Pattern Name: Paint Sprayer
The good: It will spray paint no matter what position it's in, upside down, sideways, doesn't matter. When you get it figured out, it does spray a nice even coat. The bad: even on the low setting the thing oversprays like crazy. Luckily for me I was painting things that it didn't matter too much. The paint hangs in the air and gets all over everything. You will have to fill the paint cup up really often, so often it is aggravating to stop and refill it because it's a process. So I really hated the screen method of loading more paint, it made such a mess and didn't look like it did anything so I stopped using it. No difference. When it was loaded up it stopped lots of times because the seal wasn't great between the plastic sleeve in the cup and the body of the sprayer so I would have to stop and get the air out. After 2 hours of using this, it does get heavy too, much heavier than you think it will. Overall, I'll still use it but it's not something I would enjoy using. Cleanup is a bit of a chore too, all the paint doesn't come off and you have to spray the gun clean. ... show more
