I just recently moved into a new house and have lots to store. I have a HUGE utility and storeroom in the basement, so I ordered 5 2-packs (10 total units). Since they are modular, I was able to build 10 4-shelf and two 5-shelf units (vent ducts limited height). A few of the units were damaged (cracked on one shelf edge), but not to the point where it would affect the stability. They were delivered in phases (6 units 1 day before expected, 3 units the next day, and the final one a week later). The assembly was pretty easy, using a rubber mallet to secure the columns. We also had to use a utility knife to cut off excess material on the columns in order for them to fit. The units come with connectors to attach units together. They also come with brackets to attach the units to a wall. But the basement storage room is not dry-walled and therefore the brackets are too wide to attach to the studs. I would have to attach some long 2x4’s to the studs for the brackets to be used to secure the units. So since I didn’t do that (yet), I’m not using the connectors either. But then, I’m storing the heavier items on the bottom shelves. So I’m pretty pleased with the shelves and if I have room, I would order more of these. ... show more

tools needed: a pair of diagonal cutters, a box cutter, good one, and make sure you have a rubber mallet to properly seat the upright supports for the shelving. The depth is a little bit shorter than 24 inches so beware just like 2x4s aren’t 2x4s anymore pay more get less Hard to believe this thing is made in America the finishing work is terrible had to do some trimming because they didn’t finish off these little casting nubs and excess slag on the uprights and the surface area of the shelving it’s easy enough to assemble. If you have the right tools that’s why I included in that at the beginning of the review They must have the three blind mice the final quality control inspection. The packaging is lacking concerning the amount needed to really protect the product. It’s a good thing. I have a good FedEx driver. I’ve had the same guy for a decade or more and we know each other. ... show more

Solid. Sturdy. Easy to assemble. My only complaint is that it must have been stored in a dusty warehouse. The new product was pretty dusty. Meh. Hosed it off and let dry before use. No problem.

Bought this to use as tiered garden cart Con: Product really did get delivered in a plastic bag (thick enough to reuse if youre the resourceful type) but with shipping the plastic did get torn and a corner chipped. But the chip does not negatively impact the integrity of the shelf's sturdiness. Pro: it was so easy to assemble I really thought there was a step i was missing. Once assembled the shelf is extremely sturdy. For fun, i placed this shelf on a 24x36in dolly i built and rode it down the driveway and over debris... (yes i bought very good wheels) but it was sturdy enough where I did not feel any "give" ... show more

Decent shelf with the ability to expand. Non adjustable but they seem to be spaced well for most applications. Probably not made for super heavy duty use but sufficient for most garage and laundry room applications.
