I have a 32" inseam and this comes about to my ankles. It does run small. I wear a size 6 and had to get a size large. The multiple layers of crinoline make a good amount of floof - enough to poof out a skirt or dress without being unwieldy. It has 2 layers of ruffled crinoline over a satin lining (so you don't have the crinoline scratching your legs). It comes folded in squished into a relatively small bag, so it will need to be ironed. It took me about 20-30 min to iron all the layers, then it looked quite nice. You could def wear a gathered skirt over it that shows the petticoat. ... show more

So as I am only 5'2 the petticoat ended up being WAY to long for the idea I had had in mind. I had just wanted to puff out a black dress a bit and it DID do that Part fine but even with me pulling the waist band of the skirt up to be fully over my breasts it still showed the petticoat peeking from under the skirt of the gown. Otherwise it would have been exactly what I wanted and I weigh 270 pounds my waist size is US 28 so it can fit larger people just not really for shorter ones🤣 ... show more

I had ordered 2 different companies underskirts this one and the other from Shimaly. I went with the XL and not the suggested bigger size since people commented that it runs large which I agree. The petticoat is beautiful fit perfect with just the right amount of fullness for my gown and a nice soft lining so no scratchy feeling against my legs. Some reviews here mentioned a strong fish odor but I’m happy to say this one had no odor at all but the one from Shimaly which arrived a few days ago had a very strong odor of fish which I’m guessing is from the dyes they use that sadly remained even after several days airing it out so I will be returning that one and keeping this. I tired adding a picture of an edwardian walking skirt. It made it very nice and fulll with maximum swooshage. I got it for hot weather. YOU NEED TO PRE WASH. USE FABRIC SOFTENER AND HANG DRY!!! It's very stiff and crumply when you first get it. But other than that it's well worth the money. I had to add some Tulle to the booty to help with the weight of the fabric. I had bought this trying to save a dress I felt insecure in. I figured adding volume to the skirt would alleviate that. However the many ruffles, the cheap material, and the limits of my dress's skirt meant it not only continued to look unflattering, creating these awkward lumps under the dress, but it also tore in a few places the first time I tried it on (I wasn't even yanking it up, I was trying to fluff out the skirt). However, I have a Ren faire/Oktoberfest sort of outfit that really looks lovely with this under it. I think with circle skirts with tiers/ruffles, or with some sort of liner over the petticoat, that it would work nicely for costumes and some period dresses. TLDR: Cheap way to explore petticoats for costumes/period pieces, but not a quality item that'll hold up for elegant/expensive outfits. ... show more
