The GOYOJO GRL325 is one of the best “budget-friendly” thermal scopes currently on the market in my opinion because it delivers real thermal capability without the massive price tag of premium units. The GRL325 uses a 384×288 thermal sensor with a 12μm core and 55Hz refresh rate, which gives it surprisingly smooth image performance for the money. The 3x optical magnification on the 25mm lens model makes it more versatile for closer and mid-range shooting than the GRL335, especially on AR platforms and hog/predator rifles. What stands out most is how compact and rugged the optic feels. The ACOG-style footprint and solid aluminum housing are outstanding, and it held zero well even after repeated range trips and recoil exposure. The quick-detach Picatinny mount and “One Shot Zero” feature are huge to me as I swap thermal scope between multiple rifles or use it as a handheld. Battery life is another strong point. Running on common 18650 rechargeable batteries with around 6–8 hours of runtime means you are not stuck buying proprietary batteries in the field and I must say you can hunt all night off one battery. The onboard recording, Wi-Fi capability, multiple color palettes, and picture-in-picture mode add a lot of modern features usually found on more expensive thermals. Overall, the GOYOJO GRL325 is a thermal that punches above its price class. It’s compact, easy to use, holds zero well, and one of the best thermal option without emptying the wallet that I have ever seen. For hog hunting, predator control, ranch use, or just getting into thermal optics, it delivers a lot of performance for the money.

For the price, I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but this thermal scope surprised me. The image is clear, it’s easy to use, and it works exactly as advertised. If you’re looking for a good budget-friendly thermal without spending a fortune, this is definitely worth checking out. I spent quite a bit of time looking at different thermal scopes before buying this one because I didn’t want to spend several thousand dollars on a high-end unit. I knew going into it that this was a budget-friendly option, so I kept my expectations realistic. After using it for a while, I can honestly say I’m impressed. The setup was straightforward, and I had it mounted and running in no time. The menu is simple enough that you don’t have to spend hours reading the manual just to figure out the basic functions. The image quality is surprisingly good for the price, especially when detecting animals and picking up heat signatures at a distance. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the premium brands, but for the average person, it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Battery life has been solid during my use, and the build quality feels much better than I expected from something in this price range. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy, and everything has worked without any issues so far. If you’re a first-time thermal buyer or just looking for a capable scope without emptying your wallet, I think this is a great option. This is the second GOYOJO product I’ve purchased, and honestly both times I was surprised by how good the quality actually is for the price. Check out the video I took with it, I'll include it in my review here. I’ve used thermal optics that cost 4–5 times more, and this thing holds its own. The image is smooth and detection is impressive. I went out last night around my fields and barn and it picked up small critters clearly even at a good distance. What also impressed me was the build quality. It feels solid and durable. The whole unit feels well put together. A buddy of mine said it felt like it's meant to be used, and I thought that was a great way to describe it. He owns a thermal that was 4 times the price and he thought it was nice to not have to be so careful when using this one. It can be nerve wracking going out with a optic that cost 3 times the price of the weapon it's on. If youve used pricy optics before you'll know what I'm talking about The menu system was straightforward, mounting was easy, and overall it just feels like a product made for hunters. I’d definitely recommend checking it out yourself if you’ve been thinking about getting into thermal optics without spending several thousand dollars. Only negative i can think of is its a little heavy, but not unusably heavy. I'm definitely buying the long range thermal they have. I hope it's as good.

I was an early adopter of the GOYOJO thermal scope in an Indiegogo campaign so I have had plenty of time to try out its capabilities. Spoiler alert: I liked it so much that I purchased a second one here on Amazon. The GOYOJO thermal scope offers impressive performance for its budget-friendly price point, standing out for its sensitive optics, durable build quality, and a solid, integrated mount. It uses a high-performance 384x288 resolution sensor with a 12μm pixel pitch and is advertised as having a Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD) of less than 25mK. In comparison to another big name thermal that I own, I have no doubt about this statement. This high thermal sensitivity allows the optics to capture fine temperature details and differentiate objects from their background, even in challenging conditions like fog or low light. With a 55Hz refresh rate, it provides smooth, real-time tracking of moving targets, which is essential for hunting and surveillance. According to GOYOJO, the GRL335's large 35mm lens has a detection range of 1,968 yards, though I have not tested it beyond 500 yards at which it performs admirably. The GOYOJO GRL is robustly constructed and includes solid mounting hardware which helps it maintain zero even after rough handling. The compact and streamlined body is made from aluminum-magnesium alloy, making it durable and capable of withstanding significant recoil. I tested it on a hard hitting .300 PRC. It is also IP65-rated for weather resistance. Additionally, it has a compact footprint, which leaves ample rail space for other accessories. The clear 1024x768 OLED display reduces eye strain. The Picture-in-Picture (PIP) mode allows for magnified views while retaining a full field of view. Now that is not to say that they were bad before. They are a good budget thermal. I have one of their original 256 thermal scopes and a 384 monocular I use for hunting. Both are still going strong. Now I use the monocular the most but I still take out the original 256 thermal. My biggest gripe about that is the size and weight. Enter the new GRL325. I was hoping they would come out with something smaller and a bit lighter so I could use it more, this really did address both my needs. I have a video uploaded showing the capabilities, even during the day it is impressive, at night even better. I love the display, some may think it is crowded but I like how it is all placed, the compass is a nice touch and the user interface is miles ahead of their originals. This comes with a lot of accessories. (2) Different eyecups, a standard and QD mount, lens cap, rechargeable/removable battery, recharging station and tools along with a manual and quick start guide. The case as always is great, but that is where the original beats it, that had a Pelican type case. This soft case does the job though. Now, back to the controls… so easy… 4, yes only 4 buttons. Power, up arrow, down arrow and M. M cycles through the palettes or with a long press goes into the menu. Arrow keys zoom. Power button quick press will start recording. There is more you can do in the settings but this literally took me 2-3 minutes outside to use it effectively for observation. The QD is adjustable to any rail you may have so that is a plus to me, not a one size fits all… so it should fit any picatinny rail upper you may have. Image quality is very good, ok so not 640 but 384 is a great mid-level thermal, does what I need it to do and detection range is more than adequate where I live, couple hundred yards without obstructions is lucky for me… I can detect a dear from 125-170 yards all day long or coyotes at night from the same distances. Now this is not light, but not as heavy as their originals. But the form factor is slightly smaller, length wise, but it does seem to sit higher. It’s a step in the right direction. If I were to change anything, it would be the blue focus ring on the front… just kinda ruins any kind of tactical look you could go for lol. Otherwise this is a very good, mid-range (aka affordable) thermal that most can add without breaking the bank. So closing out, this is everything I could have asked for especially in the price range and I have no problem at all recommending it. Thanks for reading!

TLDR; A pretty impressive optic at a great price for quality/features. App is lacking, but optic makes up for it's shortfall. Minimal gripes that don't have anything to do with operation and use, except for focus wheel being a little slick. Buy it. After purchasing my first thermal several months ago from a major retailer, I decided that I would soon purchase a second for better scanning and to use for defense of our smaller farm animals nearer the house. While I am happy with my original purchase, I wasn't so happy with the price tag. I wanted to write a decent review for those of you on the fence about what to buy and my experience. Long story short, I turned to the thermal sub-markets. I found Goyojo and their newly released compact thermal optic. With the promised specs and low price, I was skeptical. But, with a good return policy and an awesome warranty, I figure why not. Upon receipt, I was impressed with packaging. The box is modern and informative, and would look good on a retail floor. Inside of the box is a well made carry case. Inside of that case, you'll find your new thermal, battery, charger, two eye pieces, an extension for the quick release mount, extra hardware, some tools, and a data cord. There is a quick start guide, and a VERY detailed manual that is well written and easy to understand. Everything came wrapped in a bag for extra shipping protection. Optic comes with installed 64gb SD card. The thermal is well made and visually pleasing, in my opinion. Everything is made to fit together tight. The finishes feel as high end as my other thermal, as well as the lenses which have excellent clarity. Operation is fairly straight forward. Navigating the menu is forward enough to be done without first reading the manual. I actually found the 4 button layout to be much more dexterous than my other model, and I quickly mastered them without having to constantly remove my eye from the eye piece to find a button. This is a large plus for me. I was doubtful about mounting and how comfortable this thermal would be to use, however I immediately thought different when I found the mount extension in the packaging that I honestly was not expecting. In fact, I don't see it listed on the ad... but it should be as seasoned thermal owners know that these compact sights can put strain on your posture without being brought back to your eye. I actually prefer the mounting of this thermal in comparison to my other brand, as it brings the eye cup in to a very comfortable position without putting the head too far forward. The mount also allows for clearance of my mbus sights. It is, however, not the prettiest with the extension and I am not the biggest fan of the thread inserts used in the optic base. Be sure to use a #2 phillips to snug up the screws before mounting if keeping the stock mount on, I wpuld skip the screwdriver sent with it. The 18650 battery is a nice non-proprietery touch. You can keep multiples in your bag and potentially even share them with other equipment you're using, such as flashlights. The focus wheel is tight, but this makes it a little difficult to manage without gripping it from both sides, however the optic does a good job with clarity and only very minimal focusing needs to be manually done, if at all unless scanning vastly varying distances. Clarity is extremely impressive compared to my other model. It is hard to compare them side to side as my other brand thermal is a 35mm, thus I won't put up any comparison photos. The multiple modes really help with extra clarification as you toggle through them. And the digital zoom functions as you'd expect, losing clarity as you zoom in further. There are multiple shooting profiles so that you can zero multiple platforms and multiple reticle styles/colors to choose from on top. The built in compass is a nice touch. And the screen displays a nice selection of information without overwhelming the eye. There is a PIP function and a "one shot" zeroing function which I am excited about. I have not zeroed this optic but expect it to be easily done. I will also zero to multiple platforms and swap repeatedly between them to test if the optic holds zero well. The app is nice for live streaming, however it is an open source software and a little on the cumbersome side. It leaves a lot to be desired, and is honestly the largest downfall I have found so far. It is not immediately apparent to me if photos/video can be downloaded from the thermal straight to your phone. This is a spot where the other brand shines... but would easily be addressed with an independent app development that incorporates some features found by the competition, such as zeroing, photo/video transfer, software updating, etc. There is a brief pause in the feed sensor refreshes on random occasion, but it is no worse than my other brand and expected. In summary, I think that this thing deserves five stars, coming from someone who owns other thermal devices. There are improvements that can be made. But, I wouldnt hesitate to buy another optic from Goyojo. In fact, I may just do so. I will update this review should I experienced anything unsatisfactory or majorly different than my initial impressions. Pros: Quality build, lighter than other brand optic, non-proprietary battery, excellent clarity, comes with extras not included by others, visually pleasing, price, detailed manual, extremely customizable with modes and reticle options. Cons: Carry case doesn't fit with extension bolted on. Lens cover clips on, instead of hinging (will be easily lost in field). App lacks features, focus wheel hard to operate. Would prefer SD card/USB cover to be something other than a plug. Photos: Cow is at 100ish yards, mid day. Pig is at night, about 50 yards. Sheep are at night, about 65ish yards.

I saw this through some recent social media post and looked up here and that there is a 30 day return. I figured for the price and guaranteed return, I wold give this a try. I need thermal imaging for coyote hunting on a friends farm. So, here is my thoughts. It is solid, well built. Doesn't feel cheap, has good manufacturing from what I can see. The thermal works great, has several different options to use. I thought it was cool I could see like the Predator, so a very cool feature to have as an 80's kid. The clarity with the image is great, magnification quality is top notch, up to 12x. Easy to figure out, and the instructions with it are easy to follow along with. Did the zeroing process and went well. Now for why not 5 stars. You can't change from yards to meters, and can't go lower than 55yds when doing a 0. Only other minor issue is that if you move too quickly, it has a stutter when you change your focus point, not every time, but sometimes. For my first thermal scope though, this isn't any kind of deal breaker, especially with the price. I recommend this for anyone wanting to get into thermal imaging as I think it has great potential.
