I’ve use other Govee products and love them. I bought this one in Dec of 2024, but life happened so I didn’t get it out of the box until October 2025. Unfortunately, it wasn’t functioning. I contacted Govee via email. They responded within 24 hours. They gave me some hints on resetting it. When those didn’t revive it, they sent me a replacement free of charge. I received it 2 days later. This one works like a charm. Excellent lighting options. Brilliant color options. It creates a fun lighting experience for any room.

This is the standard Govee light strip (not the Pro version with more LEDs). Overall, I’m happy with it. The lights do form a dot pattern on the wall, and it doesn’t have quite as many scene options as the Pro, but you can still customize colors and effects, which is what I did to match it with my other Govee lights. It’s Bluetooth capable but not Wi-Fi, so it doesn’t directly work with Alexa. I solved this by plugging it into an Alexa-enabled smart plug, which made it controllable through Alexa, a good workaround if you don’t want to spend extra on the Pro version. The adhesive that came on the strip is good enough to not need anything extra to hold it in place. For the price, it works well, looks great, and serves its purpose. Definitely a 5-star product for me.

One standout feature is the RGBIC technology, which allows multiple colors along the same strip simultaneously. This creates visually stunning effects that bring my room to life, whether for everyday ambiance or special occasions. The brightness is easily adjustable, providing just the right amount of illumination without feeling overpowering. The Govee Home app enhances the experience significantly, offering intuitive control over lighting effects, custom scenes, and a responsive music-sync mode. The lights react impressively to sound, making movie nights, gaming sessions, and casual gatherings far more immersive and enjoyable. Bluetooth connectivity has been consistently reliable without any noticeable lag or dropouts. Although these strips don’t support Wi-Fi or voice control integrations, the app-based controls are so user-friendly that it hasn't impacted my overall experience. My only minor critique is the adhesive strength on corners—it occasionally required extra reinforcement—but overall, the mounting system works effectively. Considering the quality, rich features, and affordability, these Govee LED lights are an excellent investment for anyone wanting to enhance their living environment easily and beautifully. Very affordable light strip that does everything an LED light strip can: nice animations, beautiful colors, bright, durable, and sticky. Side note that’s kinda hidden… these strips are ONLY compatible via Bluetooth. Which means for you that they can’t be put on a schedule like other hover devices can be. I did not know that when I bought them unfortunately and wish that was stated a little better.

This is a great product for the money. Even when it’s not on sale it’s a deal. My friend told me about Govee, apparently this company has a very loyal following if that tells you anything. They obviously reinvest in their products. The app used to control the lights has everything you could ever need. Even a community where you can get lighting ideas! I’m very impressed. Even the adhesive quality is good! Unlike others I’ve purchased, it really sticks well to the walls. I highly recommend this product and will be buying Govee lights for the foreseeable future. No, unfortunately you can’t cut these. I did the research and 100% do not cut. Now I understand why lights that look very similar from Govee are much more expensive. They can probably be cut where these can’t. For the money I still highly recommend. I keep these on 24/7 for months and have had no issue. Still working great and look great!

I am absolutely obsessed with the brand Govee and this RGBIC LED Strip Lights (16.4 ft, model H617A) is yet another winner in their lineup! I’ve got about 30 of their devices across my home — thermostats, humidifiers, lighting — and each one has delivered stellar performance. This LED strip is no exception. Here’s why I love it: Setup was super easy. I peeled, stuck, and plugged it in—then paired it in the Govee Home app in a minute. The color control is fantastic. Because it’s RGBIC, you can have multiple colors on one line at a time, which gives way more dynamic looks than traditional RGB strips. Amazon The app features are rich: 16 million color options, DIY zones, preset “scenes” for movies/parties/relaxing, and a music‑sync mode that actually works (the built‑in mic picked up the beat and the lights danced along). Amazon Stickiness is good — the tape adheres well to the wall, under the cabinet or behind my TV. The note about cleaning the surface first is legit (dust will ruin the bond) but once it’s done, it stays put. Amazon As someone who’s already invested in the Govee ecosystem, the app integration and build quality fit perfectly with the rest of my smart‑home gear. Everything just works smoothly together. If I were nitpicking: this particular model uses Bluetooth only (no WiFi/voice assistant support per the specs) so if you were hoping for Alexa/Google integration you’ll want one of their WiFi versions. Amazon But for what I needed — a vibrant, reliable smart LED strip — it’s perfect. Bottom line: if you’re considering this, don’t hesitate. It adds immediate “wow” factor and pairs flawlessly with a smart home setup. Highly recommend.
