    • Performs exceptionally- Lanyard design a little lacking
Phenomenonal product. Using this with 2 other hygrometers I have and the humidity is within 1% of the others and that's probably only because it's in a slightly different position. Easy to set up in the app. The hardest part is looping the lanyard through the small holes in the top corner, but after several minutes I was able to grt it. You may have to tie some string to the loop, stick the string through the corner holes and then grab the string to pull the loop through. The lanyard loop is kind of stiff so it actually goes inside the device when you try to press it through those top corner holes on its own. Others have simply closed it in the battery compartment which will also work but I worry about moisture getting in there and corroding things while doing that. ... show more

When I ran across this item, I had a very specific project in mind. I had purchased a new somewhat expensive lithium powered jump starter and figured it would be useless if I can't keep it in my car. I wanted to be able to track the temperature over time to see just how hot it gets in my specific vehicle - a white Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory tint. I have a power lift gate that cannot be opened if the battery is dead so I knew if I wanted it to stay in its case and still be accessable in the event of a total battery failure, the best place would be in the back, where the darkest window tint is, with a white towel covering it. In my experience, white vehicles stay cooler in the summer than dark ones and a white towel helps reflect the heat of direct sunlight. After a quick search, the Govee Bluetooth seemed to fit the bill, and with all the positive reviews and available coupon, it was too good of a value to not give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. The unit is so small that it easily fit inside the case with the jump starter and the BT signal is so strong I can sync to it from inside my house and even my office (it's pretty close to my parking spot). I have been pleasantly surprised with its performance. The app is slick, quick and well implemented. As for my project, lithium batteries typically have an operational range between -4 and 140°F. I don't want the battery too close to either extreme because I want it to work, I want it to last and I don't want to set fire to my car. The manufacturer of my jump starter recommends storage between 68 and 86°F for best performance but this isn't very realistic unless you want to carry it with you everywhere or leave it at home so you can curse the fact that you wish you had it with you when you actually needed it. So, I may be trading some longevity for actual usability but that's alright as long as it's safe. Thus my testing. So far, the hottest day has been around 92°F and with my Jeep parked in direct sunlight with no cloud cover the temperature did reach 108°F inside the case. Not too bad. I live in the Mid-Atlantic U.S. and 92°F is pretty hot for us. We may get closer to 100° or even a little over a few days a year but most of the summer is in the mid 80s. I'm just going to keep monitoring to see what happens. Once I'm totally satisfied, I'll find other uses for my little thermometer. One kind of neat thing I've noticed is that though the temperature inside the case is very slow to change when I'm driving with the AC on, the RH is much more quickly affected. I have 6 of the Govee Hygrometer Thermometer with Bluetooth. They have a fantastic range for a Bluetooth unit. I can receive reading updates from a solar shed over 100ft away. I had tried another HomeKit unit, but the range was much less. The readings for both the temperature and humidity seems accurate, so overall really happy with the units. This helped us easily monitor the temperature in our chicken brooder. The best part was that in spite of the app trying really hard to make us do so, we didn't have to create an account. No idea on the accuracy, but none of the readings were unexpected. And the chicks all lived and seemed to be at a comfortable temp, so I'd call that a win. I was surprised how far away I was able to get a reading off this thing. I'm used to regular bluetooth devices which crap out when you leave the room.     • I find no faults
I bought 2 units. Easy setup, easy App download and BlueTooth connection on an Iphone 7 . The App is pretty simple BUT the Font is Very Small . Maybe your milage will vary. The device is monitoring electronic and optical equipment that is outside in the fog so I really like the graphing display for history and trends and the radio range reaches all points in my home from the back yard. I bought this device to monitor the temperature in an old seller. It was easy to set up in minutes, easy to hang up with the provided loop. Been monitoring my basement now for two weeks and it’s been extremely helpful. It will help keep my pipes from freezing!

I got this as a promo deal so it came with my Govee Smart Heater and this device is really nice! Its accurate and the software for it is excellent! Paired with a smart heater this device tells the heater exactly when to shut off when the desired temperature is reached.
