Wish I find these first, 4 smart lights for $80, and they're govee which I love bc the sync VERY easy, I haven't had any issues with any govee products, they work exactly as described and sync with alexa without issue. Also, installation was very easy, just use the template to cut the 6" hole, use the circuits to hook up the 3 wires, pop the light in and your done. Highly recommend ... show more

WAY brighter than I expected. I installed these in the corners of a room as accents (the Govee 12 inch light is the main light) and I honestly didn't even need the 12 inch light. These things are BRIGHT. You can change the color temp or dim them as much as you want, and they have a lot of color / scheme options which is cool. Super easy to install. I went through several sets and finally landed on these. I'm completely satisfied and love the govee brand. Very easy to sync with my app and add to my existing givee products. That said though, be aware you will have to remove existing boxes if you have those in the ceiling. These, like most LED disks, won't fit in existing j-boxes. I own a few Govee products now, ranging from various lights, TV backlights, and appliances. I have been very pleased with the use of all of them. These low profile recessed ights are among my favorites though, I was able to install some in the same spots as existing fixtures, and install others where no existing fixtures was before as well. I had miner issues with a small installation clip that broke on install so I reached out to Govee support in the app, and revived a response within hours. They went above and beyond to help replace the broken clip and rush replacement-- customer support was very pleasant to interact with and so helpful. I rate the Govee products as 5 stars easily for installation, use, and quality. But I also want to especially note that in the one rare interaction I have had with Govee customer support (over the purchase and use of 10+ products), that Govee customer support is 5 star service as well! ... show more

I LOVE these lights! They have completely transformed my kitchen! We had some old fluorescent lighting from the 70’s that we tore out and then completely refinished the ceiling before dropping these “can” lights in… it was so easy to wire them up and they were easy plug and play! All the lighting modes a super fun to play with, now I have to break down and buy an Alexa to control them by voice. We will slowly transition all of our lighting to Govee smart lights! ... show more

    • Not off to a good start [Updated: All good!]

UPDATE: I placed an exchange through Amazon and received the next day. To no surprise the new lights also did NOT work as expected. Troubleshot a bit more on my own before sending an email to Govee support and provided screenshots of the issues. I received an email from Govee this morning that tech support was able to reproduce the issue I was seeing and provide a fix. I confirmed this morning that all 8 lights are working. I have updated my review with 5 stars. When these lights are working as they should, the install and setup is extremely simple. Ordered 1 set of these 2 days ago. Installed 2 of them in my existing recessed kitchen light fixtures. Was able to connect them to the app without ease but instantly noticed the app said only bluetooth connection. Went into the light settings and attempted to connect to wifi, and it showed successful, but for whatever reason the wifi symbol continued to show red. Troubleshot by myself as well as jumping on a call with Govee "support". Tried virtually everything including disabling my 5Ghz wifi band altogether. Still no luck. What's interesting is I have 2 Lyra floor lamps and have no issues with them. Tried all 4 of these lamps and they all seem to connect, but I can only control them over bluetooth which would be okay but would require a basic group setup which does not allow Scenes or DIY lighting support. Ordered an exchange and fingers crossed that I just got a bad batch... I will be updating this review in the next couple of days. ... show more
