The media could not be loaded. My strong-jawed and much-loved shelter dog, Rosie, has chewed through hundreds of dollars in supposed "aggressive chewer" toys. All the major brands let us down. They simply failed to live up to their name - some within ten minutes! My husband actually asked me to stop wasting our money because nothing on the market was going to be strong enough. Well, I think I've found a really good way to both stop wasting money AND give my super-chewer something to satisfy by only purchasing GoughNut from now on! We have this ball, the GoughNut ring and the black stick in the Pro-Level 50 rubber gauge. They are amazingly durable. This ball is a hefty weight and very solid, and she absolutely loves it! I love that she can't rip little pieces of rubber from the ball no matter how hard she tries. That, plus the Lifetime Guarantee with the red indicator layer means I feel 100% confident that Rosie is safe with these toys.

We adopted a dog a week ago. Within two days every single chew toy we'd gotten for him was dead. Squeaky ball, tennis ball, "indestructible" balls and toys, they were all gone. I read reviews about other indestructible balls, and several reviewers said the Goughnut Black 50 was the way to go. So, for our maniacal fetch and chew loving pup, we got one of these. Holy smokes. A week later it not only still exists, but it looks GREAT! He can't make a mark on it. And this thing has been used for hours of fetch and chewing. He wants to play fetch, this is the ball we go for. He wants to chew on one, this is it. Update: Six months later. I've now bought four of these, according to Amazon. Why? Because they're awesome. One is at our cabin. Because heaven forbid the dog is without a ball. More accurately, for our sanity, the dog is never without a ball. Two are here at our house. One more is en route from Amazon. Because, one of the ones we have actually got chewed into. It's usable, it's still a solid ball, and I'm not sure he could rip it much more, but I also don't know that it'd bounce like I want it to. So I got another and this one will be relegated to back up. This one ball is the only one to actually show a mark of any of the Goughnut products we have (three balls, two figure 8 tug of war toys, and one stick). The rest all look brand new. Maybe the ball had a bad day during production. I don't know. Considering my dog can chip through actual bones, these hold up remarkably well. Astonishingly well. I don't know if I'll buy another brand for my exceptionally aggressive chewer.

The media could not be loaded. When are pups chewed through a heavy duty Kong in a week, we thought we were toast, then we found Goughnuts. Highly recommend Goughnut products for any heavy chewer dogs. We started with the donut version but have expanded our collection to the figure 8 tug and the balls. Very durable and our dogs really enjoy it. We tried the orange balls, as the pups hadn't made a dent in any of their heavy duty Goughnut products (4 months of heavy chewing and counting), but over a month or so, our pups were able to get chunks off the balls. It took them a long time but in the fine print it does say the balls are not cleared for unsupervised chew time (like the donut and stick products). The return and replacement guarantee was super easy to navigate and our replacement toys were sent in under a week. You do pay shipping but it's flat rate so you can trade in multiple at a time. We opted to upgrade to the heavy duty version of the balls for an extra $4. So worth it.

The media could not be loaded. I used to have 4 dogs: a lab, pit, mastiff/boxer/pit, and a sky terrier. These were the ONLY toys that could survive longer than a month at my home. Also, my rescue pit was addicted to playing with rocks, I broke her of that with a tennis ball. But she became addicted to the ball. Then she swallowed a tennis ball WHOLE and needed surgery but she was obsessed with balls so I needed a solution. A friend recommended GOUGHNUTS. It has been 6 years since I discovered Gough Nuts toys. We've owned every shape. My dogs are ADDICTED to the ball. I'm back here buying another set because they are fighting over the two they have currently.. the one is less chewed than the other. This ball will break down over time, yes. Especially if they use it as a pacifier, chew it incessantly, and gnaw on it all day every day.. like mine do. But it outlasts EVERYTHING on the market, including all things KONG. I use it as a puzzle ball. Tuck it inside other toys (see the video with their tire and GOUGHNUTS figure 8) and they bring it back for me to do over and over. I just realized after all this time, other than telling every dog owner I know about this toy and purchasing probably over 20 for myself and for others as gifts.. I never wrote a review. My dogs love these stupid balls so much, they lost one down a hole THE day after I took the tag off one, and purchased two the same day to replace it. So thanks GOUGHNUTS. I love you for making a ball my dogs can actually play with and not die.

This is the only thing I can buy for my GSD that lasts longer than a few days. I get about 3 months out of these balls for my sweet boy - super heavy chewer, destroys most toys in less than a day. High price point but worth it for me because it’s the only toy he can chew and not tear pieces off, at least for a few months. I also bought the stick from the same brand and that is great too.
