The scooter sustained a brake mount broke after the 1st use. My child who used this only weighed 50lbs. and applied the brake once. After that, I heard a rattle from the brake mount and noticed the metal plate holding it together was loose and the screw mount securing both was broken. Now there is a rattling sound coming from the bake mount. After submitting a review on Amazon GOTRAX reached out and volunteered to replace the scooter at no cost. Austin from GOTRAX was amazing his customer service was impeccable. The new scooter arrived and I have yet to have my son try it because we were on vacation. GOTRAX customer service was great and I highly recommend there products based on their customer service. ... show more

I bought 2 of these scooters for my kids. My kids love them. It took us awhile to realize my daughter's scooter was not charging. Battery life is that good. I contacted Gotrax and they immediately got back to me and shipped me another battery. It didn't work. The battery wasn't the problem. It was actually the charging port itself. I contacted them again and they sent me a shipping label to ship back the scooter. I got a new one in 2 weeks and it charges. Their customer service was absolutely amazing. My son is 11 years old and his eyes lit up when I gave it to him for his birthday. He didn't have any trouble riding it from go because he has ridden his cousins electric scooters before. He simply presses the sensor button and the scooter begins to glow. I, as a parent, like the kickstand feature, because it allows the scooter to stand upright when he isn't using it. The scooter goes up to 7.5 mph and I think that is a very safe spews for kids his age. The scooter looks cool when lit up and it's actually a simple ride for him. Got this for my daughter for Christmas. She's turning 8. I haven't let her ride it yet as its supposed to be a surprise. I opened it and assembled it, I feel it was very easy to put together. I charged it for 5 hours as it said to, then I tested it out. It works great, for me as an adult. It took a bit to get used to how to make it go faster but I enjoyed it. I am however a bit worked she will have trouble controlling it. I am hoping that she will practice and do well with it. ... show more
