Our guest bed is a German bunk bed so the mattress has about a six inch gap on it. Originally I wanted to just fill it but decided to add a headboard pillow instead. This foam was absolutely perfect. Not that it matters to you, but it was the exact size I needed and it felt magical, you know. Like when do you ever get the chance to buy exactly what you need for a diy with no leftovers?? Anyways, I used the 24x72” (5” thick firm) to made the gap filler pillow (the white one) and then added a second pillow that overlaps the mattress a little (the teal one) to add more of a buffer to the floating shelf. Since adults sleep on this bed, I wanted to make sure no one hit their head on it, as it’s a little intrusive. The firmness was perfect, soft but really supportive. When leaning on it with a good book in hand for a while, it didn’t buckle or sink and I never hit the little shelf. As far as working with the material, it was really easy to cut. Since I got the 5” thick one, I had to make multiple passes with my trusty snap blade, but it when through with ease. Some tips though: mark out a line on three sides to make sure you’re staying perpendicular and not making an angled cut; hold the blade at a 45° angle and pull, if you feel resistance you will get pills and a messy cut. I only had a few little foam fuzzies to pick up at the end! Overall I will be purchasing all my upholstery and cosplay foam from here because I just loved working with it. I felt like the price was good for material that was simultaneously easy to work with and functioned extremely well. ... show more

Used this to replace old cushion on couch and it fits perfect. Helped make it easier to get off couch to because it’s a bit higher and cushion is firm. Stays in place and doesn’t move around. Very satisfied! Worth it’s price and is high quality.

4 stars because: 1) delivery people didn't drop off at our place, but across our resort & didn't notify us, so we had to tracked it down 4 days later. 2) review is only 2 days into use. The pad itself come securely wrapped in the box. It seems to be very good quality. It is firm, but not hard solid, so laying it is very comfortable right now. Noticed the first couple days that there could be dents (long term) if your bum is sitting or laying in same spot...but this is the semi firm, so could be expected. Wow! Couldn't be better!!!! Amazing size and comfort, Exactly what I needed for worn down sofa seating, Good enough to sleep on! I purchased the 6" thick x 24" Width x 72" Length! My sofa is antique with the base cushion well worn and no longer useful. While I considered have upholstered, or at least have a new seat cushion made, well...Not gonna happen :( When I saw this solid one piece cushion with such good reviews, for the $45 purchase, I thought, 'what have i got to lose'?! I have a couch that is a title old and I have a back that needs all the help I can give it, so I decided to try this foam. Came in compressed roll and opened up and fluffed up quick! No noticeable odor! I took old foam out and washed the cushion covers (zip kind!). The size I needed was approx. 24”x23”, so I cut lengths of23”, a total of three from the length with a little left over. Cutting was slow and settled on an electric carving knife I had purchased from goodwill as my go to “cutter”. I think one of those hot knife's would have been desirable, but wasn’t sure so went with what was available. I then put the foam pieces inside a thin yard garbage bag and used vacuum hosed to “compress” pad and then was able to get them into cushions. This is easiest with two people!!! The finished result was very satisfying!!! 6 inch was really tight in the cushions, but that’s the idea, right! Happy sofa! Happy me… ... show more
