The GS Air ended my search for a primary pickleball paddle. This paddle boasts an incredibly stylish design with uncompromised performance. The affordable price and included neoprene case make it the best value I have found. Design Despite the mid-range price, the GS Air has all the coveted details featured by expensive paddles. The matte black color, edgeless design, and the aerodynamic cut-out make the GS Air appear sleek and sophisticated. The GS Air logo looks clean and isn’t obnoxiously large. The transition between the head and the handle is covered by a GoSports® silicone band. The handle cap features a glossy GS logo. Overall, it looks fantastic! Performance The GS Air has an excellent balance of power and control. The coarse surface, which almost feels like 100-grit sandpaper, promotes good contact and the ability to add spin to the ball. The paddle is lightweight and not so solid that balls are popped out of the court, yet it doesn’t require much strength to produce powerful hits. The cut-out at the base of the head does make it seem quicker to maneuver, especially during kitchen-line rallies. The handle is thinner in comparison to many other paddles and accommodates a broader range of hand sizes. After about a month of playing, my GS Air has proven to be highly durable. Scratches can occur due to the edgeless design. However, these cosmetic damages are preventable with edge tape. Value The GS Air costs considerably less than name-brand paddles and about the same amount as a beginner paddle set. Combined with its appearance and performance, the GS Air is a bargain for intermediate players and a good investment for beginners. The included neoprene case is an uncommon offer, and it even has a GoSports® logo to distinguish it from other cases. This paddle is great. It is incredibly fast and precise. I am a hard hitter and my serves are fast, I feel like after using the Go Air paddle my serves and hits have become stronger and more precise. It is very lightweight and easy on the grip. The Aerodynamic design allows for good spins and solid-hard hits. It feels efficient as your hand doesn’t get tired easily. The only reason it did not earn a 5 star is because I feel the quality could be improved. As you can see from the pictures of using the paddle for the first time, it already has two chips on the edges. I will get some tape for it, but I feel if the quality was better this would not be unnecessary. Overall I am very satisfied and happy with this go air paddle. The GS Air has been my preferred paddle in the last few months and I'm surprised by its impressive performance and lightweight design. As an intermediate player, I've had the opportunity to put this paddle to the test in various playing conditions and it has been enjoyable to play with. It delivers a responsive and lively feel, allowing good spin and strong hits and serves. The standard grip feels right for my hands, providing a secure hold and preventing slippage during rallies. The carbon fiber material gives it a cool look and it's engineered to provide a good balance between power and control. Regarding quality, I had a few scratches on the edges in the first games but after putting in some tape everything was fantastic. The GS Air paddle came in a standard box. The packaging was sufficient. The neoprene case comes already on the paddle as an extra form of protection. The only real issue I had with this paddle was a small scratch in the bottom corner. I think this was a manufacturing issue. As far as how the paddle plays, this thing is great. There is plenty of friction on the surface of this paddle, so spinning the ball won't be an issue. The paddle is 13mm thick, so it is light and easy to move. The grip feels nice, and it is rather small, but I was still able to hit a two-handed backhand so no complaints there. At the time of purchase, the paddle was on sale for $60. I think this paddle is an excellent value even at the listed $76. ... show more

Updated review: After having this paddle for about two months it chipped on the corner. So much for a guarantee. I submitted a claim with pictures and nothing but crickets...no response what so ever. After a few more months more chips. I do like the weight distribution and the feel of the paddle, but this will probably only last about 3-6 months max before you will be searching for a replacement. ... show more

    • Great paddle for low budget and mid-level play

(Review also on YouTube) In terms of my experience playing pickleball, this review may not have an expert point of view, but I have used a wide range of paddles that span across a few other manufacturers. This review is based on three hours of experience during exhibition play at an outdoor facility. What struck me initially about this particular model is the aerodynamic design that I hadn't seen in a paddle before. It's very unique, but it did raise some concerns with me, mainly wondering if the slightly smaller dimensions and the triangle cutout would affect my play. What resulted instead was actually an improvement in my gameplay. I noticed immediately a more fluent motion when serving and receiving, all while noticing a slight increase in power. I also noticed how in control I was during kitchen play, being able to direct the ball more accurately. Let me tell you, I'm hardly what you would call an expert, probably rated 2.5, but I felt much more confident using this particular model than I had previously using other models. The leather wrapped handle seems made of high quality. I also find it to be a bit lighter than the other pedals I've used which probably contributes to the fluent motion. As far as the curb appeal of the GSAir, it's not what you would call flashy. It's Matte Black color doesn't stand out beyond the logo and triangle, and you won't find this model in another color at the time of this review. You may also notice dirt and debris fairly quickly, but that's not particularly surprising. The case that is provided is also slightly disappointing as I wish it came in a case that went the entire width of the paddle, but that's not uncommon with other manufacturers. All things considered, this particular model, the GSAir, has immediately become my primary for pickleball play. You will not be disappointed in purchasing this especially under the $100 price point. ... show more

Solid paddle for the price. For context I mainly play with the Selkirk invitika. Weighed mine at 8.0 oz. This is a good weight for people who like to customize with lead tape. Feels good in the hand but was not a huge fan of the grip. When holding it you can feel more weight in the paddle face. To me this is good just depends on what you prefer. It's faaaastt at the net but does take a while to dial in the soft shots. I think the term is "Pop" it has a lot of pop. The edges of the paddle did get chipped (as seen in the photo). So would probably tape the edges with light tape just to prolong it's life. I really liked it and at ~70 bucks it's solid. Would not recommend to beginners. I'm going to keep using it because I could tell my hands were faster at the net. Pros: Fast at the net Good drives Customizable Good spin Good price Cons: Edges are a bit fragile Grip isn't my favorite Soft shots will take some getting used to ... show more
