This is a great tent. Very heavily built, with excellent design and materials. (Note that the tent pictured is a 4X4 tent, not the 8X4.) My only actual complaint about this tent is that they could have used better sippers. These sippers are very heavy duty, but have a tendancy to to sit flat, which can make them hard to zip. I've developed a technique to help, but it's still occasionally frustrating. Just get YKK and be done with it! There are minor pinhole punctures on the stitching that are not light tight, but this is a VERY minor problem. I have about 100,000 lumens in my tent, and if the grow lights are on, and the room is pitch black, I can make out a few of the stitch lines if I've been in the dark for a while. Which means that this tent would probably be OK outside in full-sunlight, which it isn't. Standing inside the tent with it entirely sealed and dark, and room lights on, I had to sit in there for about 10 minutes before I was able to see any light at all, and even then, it was very faint. I feel perfectly comfortable turning the room lights on when the tent is in it's night cycle. Otherwise, this tent is the best I've used. the air-flow design options are awesome, as are the power and water. I even did pull-ups from the top support beams. (Note, check which beams are the load-bearing beams before you do this. My friend did the same thing and bent the joint slightly, but he's 200 lbs, and did it from one bar, not the support bar. He barely bent it, it he subjected it to WAY more than the rated weight, which is 300lbs for the roof, split among 4 load-bearing beams, for 75lbs per beam. He put 200 on a single non-load bearing beam, and barley bent it. This is a solid tent. It even has enough lateral strength that with 8 10-gallon pots full of moist soil and 8 3x3 foot plants, and all the lights, I am able to slide the entire tent across the floor if I push slowly on the bottom. Can't ask much more than that. I added a plywood floor treated with garage floor sealer to make sliding pots around easier, and that probably also helps with the lateral slide.

I think this Gorilla Grow 4 x 2 tent is an ideal size. Whether you are running just one tent or many, this size allows really great access to the whole plant or plants. The quality of the materials used to create the tent is unsurpassed. The framing structure has the strongest and heaviest load capability of any tent I’ve owned with the load capacity of 300 pounds. I’m an older gentleman with arthritis in my hands, and the large pull- tabs on the zippersare greatly appreciated. The zippers are extremely high-quality, and I have not have any issues with the zippers themselves having any failures. This latest 4 x 2 tent has some upgrades and reinforcements to the main zipper on the front door of the tent. Reinforced tabs were added to the bottom. A great addition! It’s much easier to get the zipper started now. This brand was the fourth one I tried after three previous brands had failed. They are worth the price! I converted everything I have to Gorilla Grow tents after my experience. Different things grow at different heights with different maturation times, and having several tents of this size allows me to grow different things and not worry about where my light is placed within the tent.

Know what I'd appreciate more than a free extension kit? A METAL zipper, a FUNCTIONAL zipper, an APPROPRIATE zipper. This tent's pathetic plastic zipper truly is its weakest link, and it's a real shame because other aspects of this tent are solid. It's made of hefty durable material and it's full metal frame can hold more than you'd ever need it to. Better yet, it ALMOST blocks out all light...EXCEPT where the pathetic crappy plastic zipper broke in multiple places on its FIRST zip. I could physically see that a few teeth were barely secured on and lacked the metal housing the other teeth came with. What a joke for a $400 tent. I am beyond disappointed. These guys have you by the family jewels and they know it. Try finding a heavy duty tent with similar specs (like being able to hold a ridiculous amount of weight and lacking crappy plastic pole connection corners). Speak up people, this is highway robbery. I saw the reviews and took a chance, so shame on me, but shame on them for not fixing such a SIMPLE problem to address. Oh, yeah, and have fun shipping this product back if need be. Simply put, this tent has a SERIOUS design flaw, and any customer considering buying this product NEEDS to understand the tent they receive might be spitting out teeth and leaking light regardless of care taken. Maybe you'll be the lucky one? <----- not how this stuff should work. UPDATE 10/7: I got sent a replacement tent. The first one had too short of walls so that the zipper broke. The second one has the OPPOSITE problem! It is so loose that the walls bow in twice as much; I've spend $50 installing a wire frame to correct this problem. I then had to spend another $25 to buy more velcro strips, since loose walls create creases in the zipper's protective flaps. Likewise, I've had to tape up BOTH velcro windows since they let in light like nothing else. Also I've had to stitch up multiple duct ports, and the tent leaks light everywhere - when the light is on, I can see pinhole leaks everywhere along the stitching up top...like hundreds. Wow. Other than than, I have to say, this tent incredibly, incredibly durable. Still, you shouldn't have to do their job for them. Not buying Gorilla again, until they start living up to their promises. UPDATE 4/22: I ordered $130.00 worth of side wall bars to prevent the walls from bowing in. Guess what? The right side ISN'T actually 4 feet, so I couldn't install the bars. This product has no place on Amazon: Amazon is customer-centered while Gorilla clearly is profit-oriented and cares little about quality control or taking responsibility. Take action, Amazon, and protect your customers by denying companies like this from conducting business on a customer-centered platform.

Product review I had wanted one of these tents for a very long time saved up my money it was $400 that was my first mistake the company was running a 50% off sale could have got it for 180 now as far as the review this thing has more light leaks then a hundred year old wooden pole barn I will say that I did contact the company sent them photos they did send me a new canvas but again it still has more light leaks than 100 year old pole barn I will say that I did cover up the light weeks it has performed good I don't think that it lets enough light in to really affect what is going on inside it does have extra flaps to cover all zippers and corners but it does still have lightly like I said they do hold strong on their warranty they did send me a new canvas the company does stand on their product would I buy again absolutely not I've had much cheaper tense that were way better I think if I bought again I would probably go AC Infinity and this sucks because I really hope that it would be a good product at first I left a good review but it's not at first that you can really see all the light leaks it's really more toward the third or fourth month when it really starts to stretch out that's when you can tell the big difference I did go buy liquid black tape and seal up everything that I possibly could

*****Revised review after 18 months of actual use: AVOID *****: I'd urge people to look for reviewers who have owned their tents for a bit, not those who have just received it as I had prior to my first review. Yes, the Gorilla Grow Tent canvas is far thicker than competitors -- a fact I praised them for and gave five stars initially on receipt of my tent. HOWEVER, that advantage is rendered MOOT given the fact that stitching in at least four separate areas of the tent has begun to unravel after a little more than 1.5 years of owning it and putting it to very light use. I have never moved the tent from its original setup spot nor done anything stressfull to it other than let it sit there and grow product. I assembled the tent carefully and correctly, I have always been extra careful not to create any undue stress to the fabric, and in particular to the zippers when I zip it up, but that sure didn't help (and the stitching is coming undone at various points around the tent, so this is neither an isolated problem nor is it user error). I will leave my initial, positive review in place below for reference, but please note this update highlights the fact that super strong zippers and extra thick fabric don't mean squat if the quality of the manufacturing that holds these pieces together is sub par. If I have to replace these things every few years I will certainly NOT pay the SIGNIFICANT extra cost for a tent poorly assembled from good materials. The only advantage over other tents I can now say about Gorilla Grow is that yes, they are extra tall and have very nice features... until they fall apart. I would also add that I have ordered additional products directly from Gorilla Grow's website, and and more than one instance they sent incorrect items or parts. While they corrected following contact, they inconvenience me in the midst of a grow, and it's clear this company no longer pays close attention to what they're doing in production of product or in executing orders. Very disappointed. I so wanted to support this American company but they just don't measure up over time, particularly given their high cost compared to competitors. Below is my original review on receiving the tent: Gorilla grow tents have so much thicker canvas than others I bought I'll never go back. In addition to the quality of the canvas, zippers, and all materials, the height of these tents is much greater than most competitors, allowing you to grow much taller, larger plants. These are rich with features including microsized mesh covering air intakes to prevent pests, more ports for ventilation you could possibly use (and accommodating very large ducts). Unless you're just dipping your toes in the water and want to see if you like indoor growing, go for the gorilla, you won't regret it. ******(of course, that no longer holds true. I do regret spending the extra money for a tent that I now must replace after not much use)*****

My first winter setting up the tent, I set it up at the normal size. With the ventilation and light, I found myself having to duck and be careful with the end of the broom when sweeping up. This winter, I put the included one foot extension on the tent, and I have so much room to stand up. There's no more conflict with the height extension on. This tent does a great job of keeping the heat, humidity, and light inside of the tent instead of leaking it into my living space. I enjoy looking in through the velcro windows to check on my plants. I like that you can open the doors as far as you want - even around the corner. There are tons of port holes, so there's always one in reach for cable management. The extra tray on the bottom provides peace of mind that I won't get water damage on my floors.

This grow tent is very high quality. The walls are extremely thick. The poles are metal, not plastic, and they can support quite a bit of weight. I suspended a 16" x 6" phresh filter with fan and ducting and a cool tube with fan and ducting with no problems. I noticed a few very small light leaks, but they're all pin-prick size, so nothing I'm concerned about. Solo assembly is a little cumbersome. I did it with only a minimal amount of language that would make a sailor blush, but I would recommend having help available if possible. I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because while I consider this to be an excellent purchase, there are some small flaws. As this product is roughly three times the cost of its competition, I feel like there is zero room for error and the product should blow away the competition on every front. My biggest complaint is the instructions. They're absolute rubbish which, at this price, is unacceptable. It wasn't difficult to figure out, so don't let this deter you. Also, as I mentioned there are some minor light leaks. There were some frayed threads on the seams. Again, all of these are minor issues. Finally, shipping was not discrete which I do not like. My conclusion -- the next time I need a grow tent, I will gladly spend the money to buy another Gorilla tent. I definitely recommend this tent.
