My mattress has little rubber grips on the bottom but unfortunately I use a mattress encasement to protect it, which has the side effect of making my mattress slide around. This grip pad does the trick perfectly, and now my mattress stays put. There are some complaints about the odor of the product. If you push it to your face and smell it, it does indeed have an off odor, but it's not powerful enough to notice it once the pad is in place. However, if you flip your mattress as some do, it might impart the odor onto the opposite side of the mattress, which is something to consider.

I got a lighter weight mattress (which I now love) for a guest room, on a slatted frame that doesn’t require box spring. This works great and mattress doesn’t slide around at all.

I ordered this expecting not to work, as my mattress topper usually slid 6" off my bed every time I sat on it. This stuff works! I slide on and off my daybed all day as I use it as a couch. It has moved a total of 1/4" at most since I've installed this grippy stuff. My only regret is not ordering it sooner!

I purchased a platform frame for extra storage This meant my sleep number slid around like a oil on a hot pan. This has worked out perfectly. It somewhat sags between the slats, but that does not affect that fact that it holds the matress to the frame. This was a much better option that the metal discs that attach to the side of the bed frame. From all the reviews people gave those caused issues with torn sheets and scraped legs. I would definitely purchase this again.

Does what you want it to. I tried using the material you use to keep rugs from slipping, but it didn't work at all. This product is different and does the job. I just got the futon size and it works great for a queen size mattress.
