This door mat is perfect for inside the front door of a house. Very heavy duty and absorbs any dirt, mud, and moisture people bring into the house with their shoes. It comes rolled up but after unraveling it stays laid out pretty well. I got the 47x35 which might have helped with the heaviness to keep it flat. I did receive it with one strand/fiber of the carpet part pulled out, but not a big issue. I am extremely happy about how low profile this door mat is, as my front door has a door sweep installed to keep cold drafts or bugs from coming in. My door easily opens and the door mat does not get pulled or moved. Such a relief of a purchase, as my old door mat/rug I had to tape down to the floor to prevent it from moving or getting swept up. I got these mats because I wanted something red and durable, but also with a little visual interest (instead of just plain red). The pattern in the rug looks great in person and the red color is very bold. I will say, we did leave our elderly dog alone while we went grocery shopping, and we came home to find he peed on one of these mats. I took it outside, sprayed it down with the hose and a little dish soap, and viola. No smell, no stain, no nothing. You wouldn't even know. They are water proof and strong, but I don't think I've had them a whole year yet and I can see a few small spots that look to be wearing a bit thin. Not at all obvious or unsightly, but it's happening. If one does wear out, I just might replace it with the same product and give it another chance. ... show more

I bought the 100% waterproof all-season 23x35" Green Palm version of this rug. I love the color and design and it goes with the theme I have going on our deck. I placed the rug outside immediately after receiving. It was sitting on our deck boards for about 3 days and then it rained. My dog laid on the mat a day after the rain when the rug about 90% dry but the green color rubbed off on him!!! He has no strange lotions, medicines, shampoos, or anything in his fur so this was just bizarre to me the color transferred onto him. It was on his stomach and all 4 legs. It took awhile to wash off. I rubbed the rug with my hand when I noticed he was colored and it was showing on my fingers a bit as well. Would this be because the rug was so new and the dyes were fresh? I was very surprised this expensive-but-supposedly-waterproof rug did this! I honestly splurged on this small mat because I really liked the look of it but now I'm afraid to let our dog lay on it again... ... show more

We've tried several times to find a mat that would hold up under different weather conditions without success. This particular mat fills all of our needs. My husband walked onto it in stocking feet after a severe rainstorm and to our amazement his socks remained dry. Also, last night the temps dumped below freezing and the mat remained dry without any ice formation or slippery spots. The color and pattern are really attractive.
