    • Terrific resource for a GoPro Hero 7 Black owner.
I’m not done with my first reading of this book. Yes, I do mean my first reading because I know it won’t be my last. I pride myself on being a person who not only reads manuals, but one who learns from them. Even though I’ve owned every GoPro since the Hero 3, I’ve never felt that I really knew how to exploit its features. Until now. Jordan Hetrick goes far beyond the manual, with loads of practical advice that ties everything together. I’m about a third of the way through the book and I’ve already learned a bunch of new stuff. Frankly, I’m sorry I didn’t discover Hetrick’s GoPro books earlier: they are infinitely more helpful on a practical level than the official GoPro manuals, which though well written, lack the kind of down-home advice Hetrick gives. Hetrick is a good writer, but my progress has been slow because his prose is dense with advice that needs to be tried out as you read it. As I said earlier, this is my first reading. Breezed thru the book and it appears to be well written -- covers each aspect in easy to understand terms. It seems to cover each aspect of the camera plus a little extra. MUCH better than the information that comes with the camera. I feel its worth buying if you want to make the most of your camera without the hassle of trying ti find everything online. ... show more

Just received my Hero7 black, complete with no instructions on its use! On line resources by GoPro are difficult to navigate, incomplete, and unprintable. "How to use the GoPro HERO7 Black" to fill the gap...and to do it extremely well! I had a couple of particular uses for the camer in mind, and which settings are the best for those usages (and virtually any foreseen use) are fully covered. From sections on various ways to mount the camera, and why to favor one over another in a particular use or imaging objective, to how to compose and execute compelling videos, to processing images and videos--it's all there. I consider myself an intermediate GoPro Camera user. But this book has definitely helped me immensely in understanding the basics to advanced settings that the GoPro Hero7 Black has to offer, as well as, taking my video/photography skills up to a whole new level. Although, you can use this book as a standalone, I would recommend reading the manual just to get a basic understanding of the settings. I am " 0LD SCHOOL " where it is nice to read about the product in a real 3D BOOK where you can make notes on the sides of the paper - Highlight the important sentences - and dog-ear a page for reference.     • An absolute lifesaver!
I picked this up for a photo shoot I had coming up. I just could not get my head around the new features of my new GoPro so I decided to pick this up. It really has been a godsend. I like the clarity it offers and just the overall easy to follow outline of it. It is also in layman's terms so I don't feel like I am reading a boring instruction manual.
