Description

The GoPro HERO3+ Silver Edition Camera is 15% smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the HERO3. It also features faster built-in Wi-Fi than the HERO3. The HERO3+ is designed for recording a variety of adventure sports and it comes with a rugged housing that is waterproof down to a depth of 131' (40m). The camera captures Full HD 1920 x 1080p video at 60 fps, as well as 1280 x 720p at 120 fps. It supports both NTSC and PAL video systems as well. For still images, the HERO3+ supports up to 10MP photos with a burst rate of up to 10 fps. The HERO3+ is compatible with the optional Wi-Fi Remote, LCD Touch BacPac and Battery BacPac (all sold separately). It comes with two mounts to get you started, but it's also compatible with a variety of mounting accessories for most outdoor adventure and action sports. The HERO3+ camera features an ultra wide angle glass lens, a low-light image sensor and a microSD card slot. There's a built-in mono microphone and a port for optional accessories including the 3.5mm Stereo Mic Adapter and Composite A/V Adapter, which are both sold separately. To ensure you get the best shot possible, the HERO3+ is equipped with advanced capture settings including Looping Video, Continuous Photo and White Balance. Plus, it supports time-lapse recording. The HERO3+ also works with the improved GoPro Studio 2.0 software, which allows you to easily create professional-quality videos with your GoPro content. The camera's other features include enhanced low-light performance and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which lasts 30% longer than the HERO3 battery.

The camera works great! I had a hickup at first because the battery came with it lasted 40-45 minutes with 1080p 30fps with no wifi. The lady Meagan was very nice and I explained to her what I did with the camera. They couldn't get hold of me later in the day. Though I had a surprise mail from them with another battery brand new. So the customer service was above average and now I will continue with the good experience. Now the review of the camera is great. I gave the GoPro Hero 4 a 5 star rating and in my opinion the 3+ deserves a 4 star rating. Could have easily received a 5 star rating, but the lack of support in firmware upgrades creates some disappointment. Riddle me this GoPro. Why would you update the Hero 3 with protune and not the 3+. The 3+ is newer and capable of 1080p 60FPS. For those who do not post process, this may not be a big issue, but for people like me, having the option of protune is a blessing. The action camera functions like new. It has become my main drone camera or sacrificial lamb in case of drone mishap. Thus saving my Hero 4 from a high risk adventure. People have a tendency to shy away from certified refurbished cameras, where they can save a lot of money. Electronic problems are easy to correct and that is based on if the camera had problems. Many electronic items are returned without any problems. Maybe I should knock on wood, but I never had one problem with a refurbished item..... ... show more

I actually borrowed this from my daughter for a recent trip but since she used my account to buy it I feel it's ok for me to review the item. We took it to the USVI on our last trip for snorkeling. It was so much fun to use. I know it's not the newest one with all the bells and whistles but hey we didn't pay for bells and whistles. The wifi connection didn't work as previous owners passcode was o. It so can't use that and quality of footage is very poor as the oi eps are all distorted in a lot of frames. Turing on and off the camera was a hassle as it would turn off and on on its own accord therefore draining no the battery so when I actually wanted it on it would have very little battery left . I received this camera refurbished and I have always been completely satisfied with refurbished products and never had a problem. With this one though, I bought an optional remote for it and could not get the camera to connect so I returned the remote and bought another. Still nothing. So I tried to pair the camera with the GoPro Qwik app and it told me the reason why. It asked me the password for the camera with a newtword name "naughtyboys". I've never heard of any such network. I went through dozens of tutorials on how to reset the camera and wifi to factory default settings and to change the password and network name for a week to no avail. I returned this and have another one coming so I will update the review if Gopro #2 works when it arrives today. Crossing my fingers. ... show more

I got my refurbished GoPro after my other one stopped working. It looks brand new. The sound and video quality is perfect, and everything seems to be working great. I can't register it on GoPros site, but that doesn't really bother me so long as I can upload videos.
