This rack is very sturdy and was very easy to set up (if you have a socket wrench for tightening). Overall it took me an hour to put together. Bar over the top can be used as a pull up bar. I would recommend you get rubber flooring to keep it from sliding a bit when you rack the weight. Also if you care about scratching thr finish on your bar or the rack it's self you may want to get a new rack mounts (the thing that holds the bar). I use this with up to 300lbs. ... show more

Literally just finished the assembly. So far I love it, but have not used it, so this review is more about assembly than usage. (I'll report back in 6 months to a year on usage). However, from what I can tell, it's put together well, heavy duty, sturdy, and will be the "entertainment center" for my garage gym. Assembly: first you need 2 socket wrenches, 2 17mm sockets, 2 3/4" sockets, and an Allen wrench set. There really are no "instructions", but more pictures that show you where the screws and boots go. All the bolts, nuts, washers etc. come in a cardboard plastic wrap. Nothing is marked to the specifications of the manual, so it's a guessing game trying to figure out which bolts go where. While I did put a few smaller bolts in the wrong place, it wasn't a big deal and didn't set me back much. The non marking of the bolt/nut package is not a show stopper, but would be nice if the manufacturer added it. All in all, it took about 5-6 hours to assemble by myself. (I'm a male with average skills). EDIT: owned this power rack now for nearly 5 years. It's been an amazing piece of equipment. I use it 3-4 days a week and irs still going strong. haven't had to tighten the bolts once. it's great for a home gym that I use in the 3rd stall of our garage. I love it!! ... show more

This is a great rack for a home gym. I bought this for my teenage boys. I am a power lifter and I can also use the rack. It is not quite as sturdy as professional brands such as Rogue, but it is plenty sturdy and well designed. I am 6’2 and 290lbs. When anchored to the floor, it supports me while doing kipping pull ups. This rack is a great value, competes well with the big name/big money racks for a home gym setting. Highly recommended. Was missing 2 washer plates, but I had washers in the garage that worked in place of them. Haven’t reached out to customer service for the missing pieces yet. update 191207: The safety clips on the supports can be easily dislodged from behind the uprights. Just be aware and check them before every lift. Since I never move the supports, I might just zip tie the clips to the uprights. Other than that, the original review stands. Original:Well made, well packaged. Fairly substantial steel, fit together perfectly in less than an hour (by myself). Instructions were fairly clear, but I used them more as a guide. Laying out the pieces first made it easy to assemble. First pass I didn't tighten the bolts too much. Once everything was together I made a second pass and tightened everything up. No wobble. Two washers out of about 24 were missing so I had to rummage around for a substitute. You could put them on later if you wanted. Note, the bolts/nuts are metric (the horror the horror :-) ). I did the first pass with a channel lock and a crescent wrench. Second pass I used a metric box wrench and the crescent wrench. All bolts, nuts and washers were in two blister packs. The blister pack for the bolts had broken open and about 10 were loose in the main box. Not a big deal. ... show more

I bought this product in march of 2020 to begin my home gym. It had arrived in 2 separate packages on different days, which I found slightly confusing. However, when both shipments came in took me roughly 2 hours to put the whole thing together. I have been using it so far for the past couple of months now and I can safely say it is great product and well worth the investment! The only issue I found with it, not that it really bothers me is the paint has come off since the barbell rolls on it, but I do not find it to be to big of a deal. ... show more
