I bought these to place on top of the mulch and under the gutter spout director in my flower bed. The gutter spout itself was not sufficient to keep from washing away the mulch, so I placed a few of these at the mouth of the spout. I have black mulch so I use black ones, and no more washed away mulch! I covered two spouts with this package. Don't think it would work for making a sturdy patio or path though, they are a bit rickety for that.

We made a patio outside for our picnic table. These are so easy to lay and my husband even cut some to fit small edges. I love it. I do hope being plastic they don't break over time from the sun but we will see.

We wanted a semi-permanent decking solution for the front of our inflatable hot tub. We placed these over the pea gravel and now it severs as a comfortable decking area to get in and out of the tub. Easy to clean, and drain well. Super easy to snap together, and they do lay very well on uneven ground. There's little spikes on the bottom that make the tiles stay put on grass or gravel, but could be placed on flat concrete just as well.

There's no way I would put these on my patio. They're flimsy cheap pieces of plastic. I thought they were a sturdy composite material. These are like blocks that children would play with. Sending them back immediately.
