First, re: color, I'm very pale and a cool-toned person who loves looking natural, with blues & pinks being my colors. I was definitely surprised this Sunny color wasn't too dark or heavy on me as I'd expected. So don't get scared to experiment. It's even described as a "cool-toned bronze," so as long as you use a lighter touch (like, dot dot dot where you want), this can work with pale skin. I avoid tanning so this will substitute as my tan during the summer months (again, using it lightly) since it's not far off from the bronze I can get naturally. For a year-round color, I think the Petal color would look best on us light cool tones. Re: texture, this is my first experience with non-powder highlighter. I'm used to using a brush to distribute. Instead, this cream highlighter was harder to spread on my middle-aged skin. It's definitely a finger spread, not a brush spread, which the box even says. In spots where I hadn't exfoliated recently it kind of balled up while trying to rub it around. While that's on me for not having perfectly prepped skin, it makes me like using a powder highlighter with a brush a little more. Fwiw, on younger, tighter skin I do think it would spread much smoother, but I'm giving a 4 because of the spreading issue.

For reference, I have pale warm tone, combination skin and chose Sunny. Gives a nice shimmery glow to my cheekbones, and highlights my freckles, which I like. The stick has a good amount of product in it, and the quality seems pretty nice. Application: I do have to press down a little more than I’d like to get the product to apply. Because of that, I swipe along the outer cheekbone, and dot when I come closer to the center, then use my fingers to blend in (blends easily). Personally, it’s an easy thing to toss in my bag and swipe on to give my face a little glow when I’m in a hurry. It stays on pretty much all day. The price did seem a little steep at first, but I feel like I don’t need to use a lot of the product (I only put it on my cheekbones), so it’s going to last me a long time. So, for me it’s worth it.

I found this highlighter stick to be super easy to use to give a nice highlight over my cheek bones and even blended into my eye shadow. This is a fairly versatile product and love products that can do double-duty since it makes it travel friendly. I’m not totally sold on the color I chose for a day look, on my skin tone it looks better at night.

Choosing a color for this product was really hard because there were no pictures oh how the product looked on skin when i ordered. There is a video now that kind of shows it. I am very fair skinned and was afraid this shade would look too dark but i wanted a bronzed look. Happy to report, as long as you use a very small amount and distribute well, the color looks great. If you are familiar with Glotion product which i am a big fan of, this product generates similar effect.

I'm a minimalist when using makeup and like to look natural after applying the few items that I do use. Using a highlighter is new to me so I did a little homework via google to see where to put it. I ended up with the darkest shade called sunny and I was worried that it would be far too dark for my very light skin, and surprisingly it wasn't. I applied a light amount down the bridge of my nose, on my cheekbones, a dot on both my chin and above my upper lip. I blended it with both my finger and a kabuki brush and it looked very nice. It looked like I had a touch of color and a little glow on my face in all of the right places. It was simple to apply, went on smoothly and was very easy to blend. It does have a touch of pearlescent in it that probably shimmers a bit in the bright light. I have sensitive skin and it did not bother my skin at all. I think this will be a great addition to my daily makeup routine.
