I purchased 3 "refurbished" Pixel 8 Pro phones: one Spectrum, two T-Mobile. Firstly, Spectrum does not allow for transferring used devices without explicit permission from the original owner. The first T-Mobile device was blocked by their network for non-payment, meaning it can't be used ON their network and because it's locked it can't be used OFF it either. The second T-Mobile device was able to be registered, but support said it also hadn't been paid off in full and will be blocked soon as well. In summary, buy pre-unlocked! ... show more

Pixel 8 pro is very well built, has a noticeably better screen than my previous Pixels, solid build quality, somewhat better battery life, bigger screen but not too big that it bothers me, and all the wonderful pixel software goodies. I feel this is a great purchase for under $500 in 2025.
