    • Great phone and perfect condition
I was initially hesitant to try an older model, refurbished phone, but I’ve now bought two of these in “renewed/refurbished - excellent condition,” and I would highly recommend them. Both work like new, though the second one arrived with a small ding, and its charger didn’t work. I contacted Amazon, and they immediately offered to send me a replacement or provide a partial refund. The phone takes great photos, even when zoomed out, though it’s not the best for low-light or night shots. The main drawback is the battery life—it dies very quickly, even when not in use. Both phones usually lasted me less than a day, even in battery saver mode and with deliberate efforts to conserve battery. I recommend setting up “Find My Phone” in advance or giving Google permission to track your location. I hadn’t set it up and lost my phone; when I tried to find it, Google could only track it to locations I’d visited days before. Google does offer the option to display a message across your screen and make it buzz loudly if someone nearby can hear it. However, these features are only available for a short time after the battery dies, and unfortunately, I didn’t notice it was missing until it was already too late. I love my phone! Was easy to set up and was unlocked like described. Condition of my phone was better than expected, as it was a refurbished phone. So very pleased. Came right when it was supposed to. One thing is that you should be home when you get it because the FedEx guy would have just put it on my doorstep and not in my mailbox. Purchased: "Google Pixel 6a 5G, US Version, 128GB, Charcoal - Unlocked (Renewed)" I have another Pixel 6a. It's a great phone. Good screen, good battery life, decent for the kinds of games I play, and can install GrapheneOS. I ordered another one as a gift for a family member. The one I received had a bad battery. The cycle count is nearly 500, and the phone gives a warning "Battery Replacement Recommended Due to a potential battery overheating issue...." I looked up some articles on the warning to better learn what it means, and one of the articles states "Given the serious risk of fire, users who see the warning are strongly advised to replace the battery or upgrade their phone immediately." The seller said "this phone was fully tested with phone check systems", but I refuse to believe this is any sort of comprehensive nor meaningful test suite if a fire hazard of a battery that is slowing the whole system down can slip by their tests. No reasonable person nor dictionary definition would ever call this phone "Renewed". This marks the second phone I've had to return for not being as described. I've previously purchased an "Unlocked" phone that was actually a locked down Verizon phone, and now I've had a "Renewed" phone that was not actually renewed. There is a complete lack of quality assurance on these "Renewed" phones. Don't buy cheap renewed, buy full price, or just buy from the manufacturer. ... show more

Decent phone, found it looked new, with no major scratches or dings. One gripe is the bootloader is locked to VZ. I was able to get it working with a T-Mobile carrier, but couldn't load GrapheneOS. The battery seems to be a decent shape running about 2.5 days with very light use. I'll be using it as a stripped down MP3 player , it'll do well in that application. ... show more

It's a very nice phone. It has a few oddities like fingerprint reader under screen, camera in the screen too. So people can easily see what finger your using and that you have registered. Not great. But not terrible either. Camera has a small black hole in the front screen and I honestly never notice it anymore. Best of all, if you buy a unlocked version (be careful, carrier unlock is NOT the same as bootloader unlocked)... If you want to use a custom rom, you will need BOTH unlocked. Luckily the phones are abundant and they are still cheap. My custom rom gives me TEN YEARS of OS updates, security, features. That alone makes it very desirable. It's light, thin and fast. I like CPU intensive games and it handles them like a champ. Screen is bright, colors are vibrant with lots of options. Sound it really good. The Pixel 6a does NOT have an SD expansion tray. They want you to use their cloud, because of course they do! So get the biggest memory you can. Also the 6a has 99% of the bugs fixed. So allot of older reviews are not accurate anymore. Flagship phone with lots of options to fettle to your liking without having to sell your house to buy one. Recommended 10/10 ... show more

Refurbished Pixel phone works fine at an affordable price. You can tell the glass has been replaced because there's a glue line. Also there was some lint / dirt in the bottom openings on the phone. I suppose the reseller could have done a better job cleaning the phone up, but it was marked as good condition and not excellent condition. I like the fact that this phone has the fingerprint sensor on the screen so you don't have to reach around to use it. I haven't tried the camera yet. I like the smaller form. I was getting tired of having a phone that would not fit in my pocket. Set up was seamless since everything is stored with Google. The phone is fast and has plenty of storage. ... show more
