    • Pixel 3 XL, Didn't Disappoint!
Review Image by Robert Raulerson
Review Image by Robert Raulerson
The seller was amazing product arrived quickly and the product description was on point and accurate. I fell into the Pixel 3 XL because my Pixel 2 XL had a screen crack, Googles warranty company refused to accept my claim because of poor product management and some mix up with my IMEI numbers in the database. Google eventually came through and authorized me a full refund on my phone and the extended warranty program. Anyways, if you are coming from the Pixel 2 XL this isn't a huge leap and I would wait for the next gen model this October. But, if you are joining the Pixel family for the first time, the phone runs just a smooth as you would expect from a "Pure Android Experience". You can customize your phone to your liking and take full advantage of the software experience that Google can provide with awesome Google assistant, Camara App, Call Screening, etc.. The Camara takes amazing photos and night shot is remarkable if you follow the Pixel line you probably already know this so I am not going to cover it much, but I will post a couple of pictures as an example. Pros: Pretty much everything Cons: Sometimes its sluggish during app switching, I am warming up to the notch, but still not quite a fan. I think Google needs to do a software update to black out the notch area, but utilize that unused screen space with notification data. Overall, love the phone. It's always nice to upgrade almost for free because of others mistakes. Google really needs to streamline its customer care departments and ensure that all departments talk to one another to ensure their customers are being taken care of. Although Google took care of me this time, it took over 20hrs of communication and almost a month to get the refund to make this purchase necessary. Bottom line, if you are new to the Pixel Family get this phone if you already have a previous generation Pixel wait for the release of the Pixel 4 :-) Happy Shopping ... show more

    • Really good phone, way better than expected
Wireless Provider: Unlocked Color: Not Pink Memory Storage Capacity: 4 GB
I really like this phone. The battery life is superb. The performance is like greased lightning. The picture is excellent. The voice quality is great. The fingerprint reader is so far nearly flawless, and very easy to use with the sensor being in the back. (I haven't played with the camera much myself, can't say anything useful about that.) Everyone in my family switched to Pixel3 phones recently (models include P3A, P3, P3XL), and all are very satisfied. BTW, the pink isn't very pink, and I use a cover anyway, so I don't notice it. I particularly like the absence of bloatware (a less polite word for it is generally used) on the Google devices, it's been really pleasant not to have to spend a few hours uninstalling or disabling all those lovely apps the carriers and vendors love to stuff into your phone to make sure your memory and bandwidth are being properly used. I have just one complaint, and that is the absence of a memory expansion port. I'd love to be able to stick a 128gb sd card (or maybe even 256gb) for media files and application data, to be able to hold tons of media files. ... show more

    • Love My New Phone
Wireless Provider: Unlocked Color: Not Pink Memory Storage Capacity: 4 GB
As a Google Fi service subscriber, I needed to upgrade my Nexus 6P as it was no longer getting software and security updates (for the past year, yikes!). I chose to go with the Pixel 3XL 128GB from Amazon Warehouse. I chose this one over the new Pixel 4 for several reasons. Priced right, fingerprint sensor over face recognition, included USB-C earbuds and the phone will be updated by Google for the next 3 years, at least. I prefer having the larger storage capacity over the 64GB version. I love Android v10 over the Nexus' v8. Qi charging capable. Anyway, I'm very happy with the phone. The only nit I have to pick is it could have a larger battery capacity though it does last about 36 hours with moderate use. I highly recommend trying products listed as "used" at Amazon Warehouse... Often it's just the box has a little scratch on it and the products are sealed and perfect inside! Can save you A LOT OF MONEY! ... show more

    • Build a speedster and chain it up
Wireless Provider: Unlocked Color: Not Pink Memory Storage Capacity: 4 GB
Overall I'm happy with it. It's a lot faster than its predecessor, a Motorola G7. The camera is awesome, a word I try to avoid. The screen is nice enough for watching brief videos in a horizontal position. So why not the fifth star? Well Google had to get cute by leaving out an ad card. Yes I have 128 gig of on board memory, and yes a lot of manufacturers are crippling the use of the SD, here's to you Samsung! The whole point of Android was to be brand agnostic. So much for ideals versus cupidity. So, a bunch of videos to be viewed via usb C to HDMIA on a monitor. Uh uh. Essentially crippled. Put everything in the cloud and charge for it. And make sure that your stuff is always available to the snoops. I'm grateful for the cheapo cost on a discontinued model, but depressed about the metasticizing tentacles wrapping around what was supposed to be device that would free us. ... show more

    • Still a great purchase in 2019.
Wireless Provider: Unlocked Color: Clearly White Memory Storage Capacity: 4 GB
Until the Pixel 4 comes out this is the best you can get from a software perspective on an Android phone. The experience is, simply put exquisite. Getting in the developer's settings and cutting animation times in half makes the phone feel a snappier than it was, memory management has gotten better and bugs have faded away with time and constant updates from a manufacturer that hears feedback and improves quickly a product, allowing it to reach maximum potential. As for hardware this phone feels amazing in the hand, the texture of the "frosted" glass section of the back panel feels like nothing else I've touched in a phone, and te screen is a better iteration than the previos generation, clear colors and decently bright. The notch is big and its shaped oddly, but your eyes get used to it so quickly tat it fades away in the background. Overall the phone is fantastic and should be highly rated on anyone's Android phones to buy. ... show more

    • Like looking through a smoky window
Wireless Provider: Unlocked Color: Not Pink Memory Storage Capacity: 4 GB
I once bought my next door neighbor's car. They were heavy smokers and sold it to me because something was wrong with the glass in the back. They couldn't see through it. Turns out that years of cigarette smoke builds up - I had a hell of a time cleaning those windows! The screen of this phone reminds me so much of that car. I can see images. But everything has a hazy, yellow, dingy tint to it, like it desperately needs a good scrubbing. This is only the second smartphone I've ever owned, so I figured I had turned something on. Or failed to turn something off. Maybe the night light. I even did a factory reset. Twice. Nothing helped. Finally I called Amazon. I explained what was happening, that the phone was obviously broken, and I needed a replacement as quickly as it could be shipped, considering I'm leaving to attend a funeral in a few days. To their credit they not only leapt into action, the phone arrived two days before schedule! Way to go, Amazon team! I'm sincerely grateful for your effort! Unfortunately... the replacement phone is worse than the original. The poor beast has jaundice. FWIW, users can go into settings for the display. There are three options to choose from - natural, boosted and adaptive. Adaptive makes everything ever so slightly more pink. Nothing you'd really notice, but the sample photo they provide has a pink flower in it. It becomes a tiny bit larger - like a few more pixels - when Adaptive is selected. Natural and boosted remove that pink tint, but otherwise there's no difference between them. And none of them make a dent in the cigarette smoke colored screen. Turning on nightlight is really impressive. Everything kind of goes into a cinnamon colored sepia tone. I'm not the only person this has happened to. There are lots of side-by-side photos showing a normal phone vs the Pixel 3 xl. And before you say "You're just used to a screen with more blue in it..." no. Seriously. I know some screens are more blue or less blue. THIS screen is dingy, muted... right out of the box it looks like it was used hard by a Kirkland brand Meeseeks. (That's for all you Rick and Morty fans out there). Oh, FWIW, the rest of the functions seem pretty run of the mill. It has good storage but I'm disappointed the battery drains so quickly. It would be an adequate phone for the price if it weren't for the murky display. As it is, using a phone with no camera is better than pictures of a green sky. This thing is going back. ... show more

    • Fantastic phone, meh battery
Wireless Provider: Unlocked Color: Clearly White Memory Storage Capacity: 4 GB
Seriously impressed with the Pixel 3 xl so far. I had a Huawei mate 10 pro before this and due to that company being shut out of any new Android development it was time to switch to something supported. Pros: Great screen, awesome sound, snappy, really nice haptic feedback, fantastic phone features like call screening and live transcripts, and the camera is solid. Really loving the portrait and night sight. Cons: Battery life is a solid meh. For such a large phone I would've liked to see anything over 4,000mAh. At least charging is fast. Verdict: Would recommend phone, but keep charger in pocket. ... show more

    • Still an awesome phone
Wireless Provider: Unlocked Color: Clearly White Memory Storage Capacity: 4 GB
The tech may be 3 years old, but this is still an awesome phone. Too bad Google no longer supports it -- that's the only reason I probably won't keep it another year. Aside from that, battery life is great, the camera is phenomenal, and the phone is fast and fully functional in 2022. What a shame that a lack of Google support turns good products into landfill filler. ... show more
