It cost me $18 with shipping and it’s pretty uncomfortable. It doesn’t fit my head right and it feels weird on your head. You can only wear it for like 3 mins before it starts to get to uncomfortable.

    • Not bad for cardboard vr, good entry level experience.
This is the second cardboard vr headset we've purchased. The first was injection molded plastic and didn't include any padding or a headstrap, and was also 3 times more expensive. You get so much more with this headset and we're happy with the comfort. To keep the cost down this product comes about 50 percent assembled, which we found to be a pro. The headset comes smartly packed in the outer box you'll use for storage. Inside you get the VR goggles, a Velcro strap, and a generous length of foam padding. Your first step will be assembly, which is a cinch. The Velcro that holds the unit together comes pre-installed. It's fairly obvious where to install the headstrap, which is fully adjustable to your head size. The optional foam padding should be installed to your liking, but I do recommend it. Install the foam around the rim, the nose come, and if you like there's enough left to provide a pad for your forehead. Lastly there is a sticky pad to install to prevent your phone from moving during use. It's a peel and stick like all the other pieces. The headset was able to accept all 3 phones in our house, ranging from a pixel 3 up to a Samsung Galaxy. No phone movement and the image through the lens was sharp. When you're done, the unit folds inside itself and slips inside the sleeve for storage. Very compact and well protected. I don't think this thing will last forever, but for 6-7 dollars you get a better experience than some more expensive headsets. With a little care, it will last a while. This is good as an intro to VR. Keep in mind that while the product description says “Google Cardboard” this isn’t THE Google Cardboard. This is Topmaxions Cardboard. It doesn’t come with directions, I had to search it just to find a photo of what it’s suppose to look like in order to properly attach the foam. I posted pictures for others to see how it’s suppose to look. For storage once the foam is attached, you can still flip the board back over the way it came, remove the head strap and tuck it inside the headset and slide the whole thing back into its original sleeve. There’s plastic over lens that you should remove before using. Also, because this isn’t the actual Google Cardboard it doesn’t work with the Google Cardboard app. It works will pretty much all standard VR videos. I bought 4 of these as part of a Disney at home “trip” using Disney’s 360* YouTube channel. There are other VR apps that work well with it. It looks better at night with the lights off because the sides don’t fully cover incoming light sources. If I had to choose again I would get black cardboard. Can also watch movies but keep in mind your phone gets hot and the battery will drain fast. Over all a good deal for some cheap fun. ... show more

    • Beware of cardboard
It is a good little unit to get started with, but it very quickly rips on the velcro area. The top layer of cardboard just disconnects from the rest.

    • Amazing for the price
These things are amazing for something that only cost $6. I'm terrible with technology so I wouldn't have bought a VR headset otherwise, in case it was too annoying to figure out how to use. This requires no tech savvy, just find a VR video on youtube or whatever, stick your phone inside the cardboard box, and look into them like you would any other pair of googles. I took the advice of another reviewer and downloaded the "Within" app, and the videos on there worked way better than what I could find on YouTube. So if your having trouble with the quality of the YouTube ones, definitely check that out. Overall, not something I'd use everyday because clearly, it's made out of cardboard so not the most comfortable. But it has shown me how cool VR technology can be, so I'm already considering buying a better headset. Which should really be your purpose for these - just drop the $6 you wouldn't give a second thought about spending on coffee and a donut on these, but instead of getting coffee and a donut, you get to see how it would feel to be in a rocket taking off for the moon, then opening the capsule and going on a space walk. (That was one of my favorite videos, on the Within app.) Or there's jurassic park ones on YouTube that are pretty cool. There's something about it that's super relaxing too (unless you watch the horror vids, which I'm definitely too chicken to do.) But yeah, it blocks out the rest of your vision so you're fully immersed in the video, maybe that's why it's much more relaxing than watching Netflix in your bedroom. You'll still be watching videos in your bedroom, but for $6 you can somewhat convince your body that you're taking a stroll through the rainforest. If I get a more comfortable headset I'll definitely use it to relax before bed. Just get the darn thing man, have I mentioned it's only $6? ... show more
