My son is excited to paint it with his own artistic creativity, and was especially impressed that there was not only plenty of paint (none were partially full or dried out, thank goodness!) but he was even more impressed there's a cute little palette included. THIS REVIEW is for the Goodyking Cat Lamp. Be advised most of the reviews on this item are NOT for this item--I don't know who has made the mistake. This is a cute "paint your own cat night light" gift for a young child. There are lots of color choices (see my first photo). A handy small dish for mixing paints. There are even two different sizes of brush included. I gave it to my granddaughter for her birthday and I'm sure she will love it when her birthday comes. However, you need to know this: (1) This is NOT a plug-in or rechargeable night light. It runs on three batteries. I have no idea how long the batteries last but I imagine if the light is used every night--all night long--you will be changing batteries more often than you would like. The item description does not mention how it is powered (or at least I could find no information on it). (see my second photo) (2) While the size IS listed in the description, the pictures--which a lot of people will rely on--are misleading. This item is small. I have included one of the item description photos (third photo) and taken a similar photo with my own hand (see the last photo) and you can see the size difference as depicted in the manufacturer image. I have removed a star for each of the above two numbered comments I made. As long as you don't mind that it is small AND it is battery operated, then this will be a nice gift. ... show more

This cat lamp is small (definitely nightlight-sized) but has a cute low-poly design to it, and painting it is sure to be an entertaining exercise for everyone involved. **coming back to mention that the seller reached out after seeing my review and offered to fix the issue. It was very much appreciated by me. Having a seller reach out through the proper Amazon channels and offer that way is super great to see. Wanted to note it here.** Original- So a lot of folks complained about size. These are smaller, sure. But my three year old is loving painting them. He’s not too concerned with detail yet, though. Every kid is different. I have enjoyed making some with him so far. My biggest complaint is the paint provided. It’s not a big deal in our house as we are a bunch of crafters and have paint galore on hand for stuff. But this could be disappointing for a different household, I suppose. Every other color is near empty or actually empty. Others are full and all that. But it is a little disappointing. And these aren’t leaked out in packaging or anything. Just look like they were barely filled or something. That said, they are a hit with our toddler. It’s something to do on rainy days. We can paint them and then repaint them if we want. And I like that we can hang them on the fridge to admire. 3/5 stars just because I think the paint issue could be disappointing for some folks. ... show more
