I suffer both from migraines and regular barometric-pressure related sinus headaches due to a malformed Eustachian tube. For a long time, Excedrin Tension headache was my go-to, but it took between 30 minutes to an hour to get relief even at maximum safe dosages. These headache powders, though they take some getting used to, do the same job in roughly 5-10 minutes. I've gotten to the point where I can just pour the powder into my mouth and take a drink of water, but it's probably better to just stir it into a glass of water and drink it. I hate taking pills, and this is much easier for me. I put water in my mouth first, and then I pour in the powder (which my husband swears is weird, but it works for me!). I get a LOT of headaches, and Goody's has proven to be what works best for me. I take Excedrin for migraines, but Goody’s works for all other headaches. They’re usually gone within 30 minutes. A coworker introduced me to Goody’s, and now we keep a stash! We’re teachers, so fast, effective headache medicine is a must. Now my family has switched, too. I have recently been using the Goody's Mixed Fruit Blast and decided to give the Cool Orange flavor a try. I suffer from migraines but am able to keep them at bay if I take something non-prescription as soon as I feel even the slightest of headaches coming on. The Goody's works noticeably faster for me in relieving my headaches and preventing them from turning into something more debilitating. My usual pain reliever is Extra Strength Excedrin but I was surprised to find that the Extra Strength Goody's has a stronger dose of both acetaminophen and aspirin compared to Excedrin: Extra Strength Goody's Acetaminophen 325 mg Aspirin 500 mg Caffeine 65 mg Extra Strength Excedrin Acetaminophen 250 mg Aspirin 250 mg Caffeine 65 mg The extra strength Goody's is stronger and works faster for me. As for the taste? The Cool Orange is ok - not exactly sweet but no bitterness at all. I can take these alone with no need to have water on hand - a real plus for traveling, as are the individual foil packets. My only complaint is that the packets are a bit difficult to tear open so you may want to have a small scissors close by. Otherwise, the powder itself works great and makes up for any complaints on the packaging. My personal taste preference is the Mixed Fruit but this is just as effective and something I will keep on hand. ... show more

I take these everywhere with me. I get debilitating headaches around the same time every day and these packets work within 30-60 minutes so I can actually function again. It’s just so easy to carry and take, I love them. I even gave these to my coworker who also suffers from migraines and they love them too. Highly recommend!! I’ve found that pouring directly onto the tongue and IMMEDIATELY chasing with a drink works best for me (my choice is orange Gatorade or root beer because it minimizes the bitterness of the powder, and then follow with water). I have suffered from Dry-Eye headache for about 20 years. Regular over-the-counter headache remedies would not give ANY relief. About 5 years ago, right after I moved to Arizona, my new eye specialist told me to give Goodies a try. I was very skeptical at first - BUT within 30 minutes of drinking a cold glass of water mixed with a pouch of Goodies the headache faded away like magic. I started out using the plain white un-flavored powder (tasted like chewing an aspirin - but it worked). Then I discovered the flavored Goodies. Now every time I feel a dry-eye headache starting I head for a pouch of Goodies powder. If you get headaches that seem to start directly behind and above one or both eyes and last all day give this a try. I prefer the Mixed Fruit Blast myself. I only have to use it about once every couple weeks and I also keep a few foil packet in each car just in case! ... show more

I thought this might be handy for my boyfriend because it contains both acetaminophen and aspirin. His headaches often defy normal OTC painkillers, but he's gotten good results from from this powder. It's a bit slower acting than capsules but often works as well as OTC meds that are more targeted, like those for migraine. I'd say this takes about a half hour to work fully. I like that it dissolves in water since staying hydrated is especially important while taking medicines like these. If you prefer, pouring the powder directly in your mouth is also a viable option which is sometimes easier on the go so the choice is nice. I personally think it's ideal to at least drink something with it as it's very strong. The taste is pretty decent when it's mixed, definitely preferable to any liquid medicine I've tried. I strongly suggest not taking this on an empty stomach as just as they suggest. In my experience, ignoring that recommendation leads to ample stomach pain. The packets themselves are strong enough to ensure they won't accidentally rip during transport but they're easy to open when intended. They're small and extremely portable. This is a two-pack and I was happy with the price because each box contains quite a lot of packets. Compared to other OTC medicines like this, I think it's actually quite a good value given how many doses you get. It will take me awhile to go through the boxes from this order but so far I'd consider purchasing it again. ... show more

These are amazing. I usually use these to quickly knock out headaches and moderate migraines, but while traveling recently I was walking several miles a day and took these to help with some foot pain. As it turns out, I’d broken one of my toes but was able to keep walking on it because the pain just registered as soreness- these packets are serious business. They’re also incredibly convenient on the go; I keep a few of them in my bags and car at all times. My only complaint would be that they’re difficult to open if you don’t have scissors handy and I’ve definitely had to gnaw them open in public like a toddler trying to open a childproof bottle.
