I was looking for good scissors and I looked at pretty much all the scissors on Amazon. I didn't find one I wanted. Most had not too great of a review for how expensive they were. This had a great review and were pretty normal looking. Didn't think much of it, so I just skipped it. And then researched more and more of others and I came back to this.. I just though, meh, whatever. I would probably not use one. I'm going to buy a comb with a blade inside to cut my own hair. I bought these anyways. Well, those comb things sucked for cutting. I thought it would work great, but it was not that great. Then I went back to using these scissors to cut my hair and they were fantastic. These saved the top and front portion of my hair in terms of looks. However, I messed up the back with the clippers. I should have bought a small mirror, not a 40 inch by 29 inch. I couldn't hold it to look back there. So, I messed up my hair but these made the front look nice. Yes, they're just normal scissors, but they're easy on your fingers/hand along with being very sharp. They're just the right length too. ... show more

These shears are great. I use them on a regular basis for trimming hair and they always do a great job. I had bought them before, but had to order them again because I lost them after years of having them. They're a great price. Easy to hold on to, fit perfectly in your fingers and have a good grip. The reviews had me scared to buy this but it's very sharp and works well. Only complaint is that the color looks a little cheap, I would rather standard black but performance but it does what it's needed to do. Big/Thick finger friendly

I use these to trim my own hair, and they're perfect. As a mom, I cut my family's hair to save money, so I wasn't looking for a super pricey set of shears. For this use, these were the best I could find in terms of quality and value. I would definitely recommend them and would buy them again in the future. I'm glad I bought these instead of an all-metal, professional looking set that would have cost many times what I paid for these. If Goody is listening, I wish someone would develop a finger guard that protects the index finger on the opposing hand because when you're cutting your own hair in places you can't see closely in multiple mirrors, like the back of your head, it's easy to nip your index finger on the hand that's holding the hair...near the knuckle. Ouch! Just an idea. In the meantime, I might just wrap that finger with electrical tape when I do my own trim. ... show more
