I really like how sharp and lightweight these scissors are. I have and use several pairs - for trimming our hair, the dogs' hair (not around their faces though) because they're sharp and don't pull their coats, cutting lightweight fabric for sewing, trimming missed grass after mowing, and anything else I can think of. I was looking for good scissors and I looked at pretty much all the scissors on Amazon. I didn't find one I wanted. Most had not too great of a review for how expensive they were. This had a great review and were pretty normal looking. Didn't think much of it, so I just skipped it. And then researched more and more of others and I came back to this.. I just though, meh, whatever. I would probably not use one. I'm going to buy a comb with a blade inside to cut my own hair. I bought these anyways. Well, those comb things sucked for cutting. I thought it would work great, but it was not that great. Then I went back to using these scissors to cut my hair and they were fantastic. These saved the top and front portion of my hair in terms of looks. However, I messed up the back with the clippers. I should have bought a small mirror, not a 40 inch by 29 inch. I couldn't hold it to look back there. So, I messed up my hair but these made the front look nice. Yes, they're just normal scissors, but they're easy on your fingers/hand along with being very sharp. They're just the right length too. ... show more

I had a pair of these that I got in college that were exactly the same. Twelve years later I got a new pair because the old ones finally lost their sharpeness. This pair isn't aligned wrong and constantly pinches hair, which then pulls out. When I realized this, it was too late to return them. Not something a hairdresser in quarantine can do much about. I'm not sure if I got a fluke pair the first time or the second. ... show more

Love these scissors! I accidentally threw them away last week when I had a bunch of other things in my hands I was tossing. Thought there was a louder thump in the trash than there should have been but was doing a quick clean up before I left and didn't realize that thump was the scissors till the next day-after the trash man picked up trash. So I am buying a new pair. Stayed very sharp - I trim my hair almost weekly and while it is wet- so that shows how good they are. Never got sticky or was hard to use when cutting. They were always in the bathroom so exposed to moisture/humidity daily. I am now buying another pair. ... show more

    • Sharp and precise; great value
I use these to trim my own hair, and they're perfect. As a mom, I cut my family's hair to save money, so I wasn't looking for a super pricey set of shears. For this use, these were the best I could find in terms of quality and value. I would definitely recommend them and would buy them again in the future. I'm glad I bought these instead of an all-metal, professional looking set that would have cost many times what I paid for these. If Goody is listening, I wish someone would develop a finger guard that protects the index finger on the opposing hand because when you're cutting your own hair in places you can't see closely in multiple mirrors, like the back of your head, it's easy to nip your index finger on the hand that's holding the hair...near the knuckle. Ouch! Just an idea. In the meantime, I might just wrap that finger with electrical tape when I do my own trim. ... show more

    • Absolutely worth the money
My wife bought these in order to circumvent paying for haircuts. We were both pleasantly surprised with how well they work. For being such an affordable product, they have the feel of solid, industrial strength trimmers. The grip is somewhat of a plastic-y material and is not terribly comfortable to hold, but theoretically you won't be holding these for more than 10 minutes at a time. I would not let that fact deter you from buying these. My wife has objectively thick hair, more so than the average person, and certainly more than me (read: no hair). I was interested to see how these would perform in light of that, but they truly had no problem. All in all, it's a quality pair of trimmers that feel like they'll last a a good long while, at a price far preferable to paying someone in a store to cutting for you. ... show more
