I love the relaxed, flows fit of this sweater. I am 5’10” tall, and it hangs to below my hip level. The cowl neck can be easily adjusted to sit up high on your neck, or low enough to reveal a turtle neck or shirt collar. The cotton is very nice quality and there are no loose threads or snags in the knitting. I like to wear the sweater with jeans. For me, it is lends a nice casual look. I don’t wear leggings, but I’m sure this type of sweater would go well with them. I am REALLY looking forward to wearing sweaters again as the weather cools, and I REALLY wanted to love this sweater. It's 100% cotton, soft, and seems warm (and the price is definitely right!). However, I first ordered an XL and was swimming in it; I returned/exchanged for a L (I am 5'8'"/160 lbs) and while it fits, it's not not a flattering look for me. I think the bulk of the sweater, where it hits on the hip, and the way it bells out a bit towards the hem just make me look larger than I really am. Or something like that? When I read other reviews that said the sweater was really warm and they were waiting for a cold day to wear it, I started to worry that the sweater would be too warm. But although the thick weave looks warm, it isn’t too warm because it’s made from cotton. That’s what I love about 100% cotton sweaters, they are so easy to wear and they aren’t itchy the way sweaters from other materials can be. The weave is thick but the knit isn’t tight so the sweater let’s air in. I am 5 ft 2 inches and 128 lbs. I accidentally bought a small and an extra small instead of two extra smalls in different colors. The extra small fits better around the torso but the small isn’t so oversized that I want to return it. I am keeping both because I know I will wear them often. ... show more

I have some likes and dislikes with this sweater. I ordered a large rather than my usual extra large because of other reviews saying it ran large. It does run large, and it is stretchy, especially the lower half which is flared for some reason. The sweater reeked of chemicals. I washed it by hand several times and let it soak for several hours. It absorbed so much water it was very heavy and I couldn't wring it out. It's not going to be an easy care sweater. I dried it in a dryer for 1 1/2 hours and it was still damp. It did shrink, and despite the length of time in the dryer, it was just enough. It no longer smells of chemicals. The lower half is basically shapeless, while the upper half fits nicely. It is cozy, and feels good on a cool day. I like that it is made of cotton, is a thick sweater without being wool, and isn't scratchy. However, I may never wash it again, and will only wear it at home. ... show more

This sweater is exactly as pictured. The denim marl color is so pretty! The sweater is high quality, soft and warm. It is a sweater made of big stitches, so to be truly warm, you need something under it. The body does stretch as you wear it, so if boxy isn't your thing maybe this isn't either. I'm 5'8" and 173. I bought a large in this but in the mock-neck, a medium is better. I have a short waist though. If you have a longer torso, go with a large. ... show more

This sweater is really cute, a bit oversized so don’t order up. I typically wear a medium and I ordered a medium based on other reviews and it’s oversized without swimming in fabric. I originally ordered in dark green, my 19 yr old daughter stole it, so I ordered again, same color for me. I then purchased it in the cream/white color. Love them both! Great sweater to hang out in when it’s cold, it’s cotton so it breathes and it’s not too hot, but thick and cozy.     • Nice sweater but not flattering at all
This is pretty, it's thick, good quality, doesn't look cheap. It is very boxy though. Obviously I expect sweaters to be somewhat boxy, but this one makes me look a good 30lbs heavier. I think it'll be fine under a coat but not something I feel confident and sexy in. Pretty sure they clipped the back of the sweater in these model shots, in person it's much wider.
