  • Great advent for sweat absorption...and I'll never buy again. Let me tell you why
Color: 06-pack
Installation: This is very straight forward, simply remove the hat liner from the bag, remove the non-stick backing, and line up with the brim of your hat/helmet. I'd recommend putting it on just enough so it sticks, and then actually putting the hat ON your head, and pressing with the heel of your palm around the circumference of your head to make it stick into place in a fashion that actually molds to the position it will be in during actual use. Comfort: (2 Stars) They didn't think ahead to create relief cuts into the hat liner so that when it bends to the curve of whatever it's being placed around (most likely your forehead), that the bunched up fabric doesn't dig into your skin, which becomes softened and more sensitive due to being sweaty. So, I had to make these cuts/adjustments myself (see attached pic). This was time consuming and kind of annoying, but the prospects of no sweat/salt lines creasing through the brim and not having to worry about putting my precious golf hats through the washer, urged me to get over it. Use: At first, your hat will smell like a new car. Seriously it’s glorious. After a few days of heavy sweat absorption however, (e.g. golfing in arizona) it will smell like your sweaty gym shorts and you can't wait to get it off your forehead. Also, after having it on for about a week or so, the adhesive of the liner will have created a mildly sticky bond with the fabric that lines the brim of the hat, (even more-so with the dri-fit hats) so you'll have to pick off the gunky residue before installing a new one. This wasn't necessarily a dealbreaker for me either - the problem emerging here actually resides in the fact that it was quickly becoming apparent that I am only getting about 4-7 "uses" out each liner before it has to be thrown out and replaced with another. "But this is why they give you 6 liners in a package! DUH", you might say, and yes that is true. But I also have 6 other hats that need liners too. So now this becomes a money/economics issue. Value: 1 STAR (and why I'm never buying again) - Quite frankly, kudos to these guys for coming up with a product that people will have to keep buying over and over again in order to keep that wonderful new car smell wafting into their noses every time the wind blows just right. It really is quite nice - right up until it’s not. From a larger perspective though this is a simple math problem. Each packet costs $9.99, and your hat is presumably $24.90-34.00 (maybe more...or worse, LESS). So after you've replenished your stock of hat liners 3x, you may as well have bought a new hat altogether. Not to mention for those who actually give a flying hoot about how much waste product they create, you're just tossing these things into the trash and slapping on another one, thus contributing to the long and perpetually increasing issue of humans just------leaving their schitt all over this planet. On the other end, it so happens that a plastic ballcap washing frame/cage also sells for around $9.99, and you can use that over, and over, and over and ov-----you get my point. "But won’t putting it through the wash make the colors fade?”, you might ask? Well yes, that is possible. But so will the repeated use of wearing your hat out in the sun, and general use over the lifespan of the clothing accessory itself. How can you slow down that process? Just air-dry your hat (while inside of the washing cage/frame), and VIOLA - once you’ve washed it 3 times, you’ve technically made your money back, your hats stay clean, and there’s next-to-no waste product or need for repeat purchases (hey look, that’s money you can use to buy golf balls!!!! Or...ya know, whatever else you spend your money on you have to lie to your spouse about) . Solution: I hope this prompts the folks that make these hat liners to come up with a solution that is re-usable. Charge a little more to keep your margins in check (we'll understand), and maybe - just maybe you'll turn this product into the hygienically pragmatic, ecologically responsible clothing solution that it was intended to be. Sidenote: YOU SWEAT ALL AROUND YOUR HEAD. So you'll still get the sweat rings eventually, just in a nifty little pattern shaped like the sweat liner that will appear across the front of the cap, making it painfully apparent that you're trying to prevent the problem in the first place. Then it just looks stupid. ... show more

  • I wasted my money
Color: 06-pack
I'm a caddie at a nice country club in New Jersey and had high hopes for this product. I bought this hat less than a week ago and put in the liner. You can see the results for yourself.

  • Don’t waste your money
Color: 06-pack
I bought these cause I sweat, a lot. I figured if it did what it’s advertised as doing I’d save my hats from the dreaded salt stain. I followed the package directions and put the liner in. Only to have it immediately fall out. I tried again. Same result. These things do not stick. I can’t tell ya if they really work as a sweat liner since they won’t line the darn hats. Pure junk. Don’t waste your money. ... show more

  • Why you should and why you shouldn't!
Color: 06-pack
As someone who has a hat collection I have to say that this product is a must! anyone who owns a hat is aware of the fact that once you sweat in it it starts to smell, cause irritation on your skin and can cause embarrassment if you come close to other people. From sweat stains to stench sweating in a hat is no bueno, that's why you need this! Excellent adhesion, absorbency and comfort. Helps to avoid nasty smells as well as irritation from sweat and prevents stains. Whoever came up with this is a genius. Why you shouldn't: I have yet to use this on a wool hat but I fear that it may not actually work on this material. I recommend this product currently strictly for something along the lines of a baseball cap like a fitted or snapback. This thing is a game-changer! ... show more

  • Doubled in Price
Color: 06-pack
I bought a pack of six of these last August (2019) (on Amazon) for under $10. I put them in a couple of "baseball" type caps and a couple of bucket hats. I wear baseball caps when golfing or working outside, and bucket hats when fishing and for most other outdoor activities. I wore these hats through late summer and early fall, and starting again this spring. Based on this somewhat limited experience, I will say they do absorb sweat and add to the comfort of wearing a hat. There is a point however when they will become saturated and the benefits are mostly lost until they dry. For someone who spends long days sweating in the sun (think of hauling hay or something like that) they may actually be less useful than for someone lightly perspiring while riding around in a golf cart. I just washed my hats, and didn't try to reuse the liners. (I don't think they can be cleaned except for surface dirt.) For my purposes I like them enough that I was going to order some more, but they are not a "have to have them" item. I am hesitating right now because they have nearly doubled in price in less than a year. At around a buck-fifty OK, at around $3, I am experiencing a little price resistance. I plan to use the two I have left and wait to see if the price drops. ... show more

  • Love this product
Color: 06-pack
Love this product! I sweat like crazy and when we decided to go to Africa this year I knew it would be hot and that I would need to wear a hat. A lot of my favorite hats get that gross sweat ring around the bill because of the salt in my sweat so I decided to give this a try on a new hat. It worked awesome! Even after a full day out in the sun working no sweat ring a definite must if you sweat and like to wear hats! ... show more

  • *** Will Ruin Your Hats, Read before purchasing ***
Color: 06-pack
I bought these after watching a youtuber recommend these to me. I applied them to all my hats. I have nicer hats for going out & hats for work. It indeed does absorb the sweat but then on the front of your hat you have salt lines 10x worse then if you didn’t have these inside the hat. I work outside 10 hours a day and thought these would be perfect to absorb the sweat & stop sweat from dripping on my sunglasses lenses. Unfortunately it doesn’t do that either. ***BUYERS BEWARE*** this will soak up 40% of sweat but it will ruin your hat with salt lines on the front of the hat. (My company logo is on the front, so I had to mark it out.) ... show more
