The Velcro on the balls really stick to the mat and are brightly colored so they are easily found if they miss the mat. Its fun -- can hang it, lay it on the ground, prop it up, doesn't matter. The balls will work with both the little plastic club its sent with (For the little kiddos) or any other club (pitching of some type) will work. Fun to setup down the hallway as well and chip onto from the office during meetings ;) I am worried a little on the mat itself as the velcro does seem to damage it a bit unless you real carefully pull the balls from it. However -- with kids doing so you know that 'carefully' is not a part of their thing. So -- the mat will end up fraying and getting that old used velcro look rather quickly.

The mat comes folded up in a box and has creases when unfolded. They will probably go away, but I would roll up the mat to store if you have that option. There is only one club, some products offered have none. The club is for a right handed person. It would be nice to include right and left hand clubs.

got this for the budding golfers in my house. love that you can lay it down or hang it up. the golf club that came with it is a little cheap and only for right-handed players. fortunately we had some other nerf clubs laying around so more than one person can play, including my one left-handed son lol... the golf balls are soft enough for safe indoor play. but the velcro is extra sticky - when you pull them off the mat some fuzzies come with it so i can see them fraying over time. shouldn't affect the playability though, just looks. and it came folded up and quite creased - had to lay it out for a couple days to get it so we could use it. i would store it rolled up if you can.

I got this thinking it would be fun for my young nieces, but it’s a hit with the entire family. You can lay the mat out or hang it up, it depends on your preference. Everything is well made and easy to put together for a quick game. I’m going to get a couple extra small putt-putt style clubs so my younger niece can still play while everyone else takes turns. This is great for all ages and would make an excellent gift whether the recipient loves golf or not.

This is actually the second of this kind we have gotten because all 5 of our kiddos love to play with it. They range in age from 8-21 years. It’s very well made with lots of different things you can do. The Velcro works well. You do need a bigger space to lay it out. Our boys mostly do it outside on the patio. This would make a great gift.
