Background: I found two wooden bowls at Goodwill that needed some TLC. I sanded them down to the raw wood and decided they were keepers. The wood grain was already beautiful, but I needed something to make them pop and be food-safe/non-toxic. Review of Product: The wax comes in a small black tin. It's a very light creamy yellow. There is no scent. The consistency is nice and soft, yet not super soft. I could spread a thin layer over the bowls without putting too much on at once. The wax sank in nicely, giving the bowls a slight sheen and making that natural wood coloring pop. The picture shows a bowl with only half waxed (right side). The rich colors come out! I also used this on our old, well-used cutting board, which looked much better after. While this wax was probably not intended for this use, I put a minimal amount on the underside of my wooden dresser drawers to help with the squeaks. They are silent now. :) Even with all this use, my tin is still mostly full. I'd guess I used less than one-quarter of the tin. So, it's going to last a while.     • Good wax!
This wax did what I needed it to. After a few coats of vegetable grade mineral oil on a refinished cutting board, this wax was the final coating that gave it a truly finished look. The board looked better than new after applying this.

It says a little goes a long way, that’s ok on bare wood. I wanted more of a durable wax finish on a chalk painted item.
