What a great buy for the value we've received from this trim puller. Some other reviewers noted some manufacturing defects; I say replace a defective one, because once you have one with no defects, it'll last quite a long time. I only use a rubber mallet with this and it's been great at removing baseboards, door frame trim, and separating various other surfaces. There's a cut-out in the center for that also serves as a nail puller, so if you center a nail behind some baseboard in that groove, it makes for a much cleaner removal of baseboard or other trim, thereby limiting how many nails rip out of the baseboard and get left in the wall. This doesn't replace a hammer, so nails with a small head won't catch very well and I still use a hammer to pull remaining nails from the wall or door frame that get left behind. I've removed baseboard in about 2000 sqft of living space already and the tool still looks very good, likely because we're only using a rubber mallet. The red handle is very comfortable, provides a good, non-slip grip, and my hand didn't fatigue one bit. All it takes is a few taps to get behind the baseboard/trim, then lift slightly and the trip pops right off. I'd recommend this to any family and friend.

An amazing product! Removed a house full of baseboards and a master closet full of shelves in a fraction of the time it would’ve taken me without it. No damage to the drywall and incredibly simple to use. The handle and grip is comfortable to hold and the tool is very durable.

A Works awesome and a lot easier then other was. I use this for more then just house trim. And it will go through sheet rock so be careful. 💯 recommend

Wow! This is a tool, not a toy. Heavy and well constructed. Paid for itself within the first 20 minutes of using it to remove baseboards so I could do a carpet replacement with wood flooring. Using the old style cats paw usually results in a lot of frustration and at least a few cracked / damaged baseboards. I am sure some of the more skilled people out there can use a cats paw without issue but man, this thing makes it so much easier. The old saying about using the right tool for the job never rang truer. This thing has a single use, removing molding, and it does it so well. The wide plate on the back ensures you don't snap the molding while working it off the wall. Its not often I get excited over a tool, expecially since it usually means I am having to do more work. But in this case, I am excited. Pulling the molding off has never been easier and I have done 2 rooms now without a single crack or even ding at the top edge. Baseboards are in perfect condition and will be put back with fresh nails, a line of caulk, and zero additional cost for materials or time wasted painting and cutting replacements. If you remove molding this is a must have tool. Best money I spent on this project.

I’ve use this tool many times to remove trim from remodeling projects over the last few years. This item works great for prying the trim away from the wall. I can usually remove a whole piece of trim without damaging it. Doesn’t damage the wall if done properly. It’s worth the money if you have a lot of trim to remove and want to reuse the trim.
