Loved this piece. The chain seems sturdy, though not terribly thick. I have not had any issues wearing it. No skin discoloration, no tarnishing/change in color of the metal. This is a really pretty necklace but be prepared for this necklace to arrive in a tangled mess that may take you an hour or so to untangle...if you don't lose your mind first!! The necklace seems well made and it is pretty so it was worth it for me to take the time to untangle it but it may not be worth it for you because it was really tangled. I almost gave up! This necklace is beautiful and actually is 3 separate necklaces. The item description may have indicated that, but I didn't pick up on it. I was a little disappointed to see it was separate necklaces, but it's good because you can wear them separately depending on what you will wear them with. The only negative is that the clasps are small and one end of the necklace fastener is a small circle, so to speak, that you have to hold closely with you fingers to stabilize it. I love the price - cute layered look. They are a very bright, shiny gold. The 2 secondary chains are a little tight - and about the same length - need an extender.
