I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband, but honestly we both love it so much that it feels like I’m the one benefitting from it. I purchased it for a steal during Black Friday but would have paid full price if the sale hadn’t been available. We use it to hammock in the backyard, at the park, and under the beach board walk. Once we go to a less tropical climate we intend to use it for lounging on hikes and when camping as well. The hammock is very easy and quick to set up and take down, feels very secure, and has a great selection of colors available. The attached bag carries all parts and is compact enough, but would likely be too bulky if you’re backpacking and carrying all supplies in one bag. Regarding quality, it feels comparable if not better than more expensive portable hammocks. Undeniably it’s nicer than what’s available at sports stores I’ve looked into. My husband commented that it would likely increase the lifespan of the fabric if it had a ripstop design similar to what Eddie Bauer uses. We always take any keys or pocket knives out of our back pockets before getting into it just in case. As far as comfort, it is equally comfortable compared to other hammocks I have used. On colder days, a coat or blanket goes a long way to keep your butt and back from getting cold. The sides block wind well even if you have two people inside. I wouldn’t recommend sleeping overnight in it because I don’t like the way hammocks support my spine when I sleep, but if you’ve slept in one before and enjoy it this one does fine. It was also easy enough to get in and out of when 9 months pregnant as long as it wasn’t hanging too high. The amount of weight this hammock can hold is no joke. As a household of two adults of an averaged height of 6’ with healthy but muscular weight, the hammock always feels secure. It can also hold two adults and an infant. Considering the time it takes to grow a family, we have not been able to test further than two grown ups and a baby yet. I trust however that as long as your family’s combined weight is under the limit though the hammock would hold. I also appreciated the fact that the hammock seemed to come from a US small business. That type of thing matters to my family. All in all: I love it and it was worth it, but I wouldn’t use it for overnight sleep or to hike the Appalachian. Preggers approved.

This hammock is a great choice for camping or at home. I purchased it hoping that it would fit in a hammock frame and it worked really well. Everything seems strong and durable, and is advertised with triple stitching etc. What I like best about this hammock vs the others I looked at which had similar builds and prices were the straps that come with it. Because I’m attaching it to a hammock stand I didn’t want to be fiddling with trying to secure rope. This product comes with straps with spacers that allow me to use it like a chain to get the perfect fit on the frame, and they’ll make it way faster and easier to attach to a tree when I go camping. It’s seems like a secondary consideration but please don’t discount it as it is seriously a game changer for the average Joe like me that doesn’t know any fancy knots and doesn’t want to end up falling to the ground on the wrong side of a parachute. Anyway, this product is very cool and reasonably priced, and they plant trees when you buy from them so what’s not to love? I highly recommend.

I'm just starting out in backpacking and camping so I need Everything that one needs to go on adventure so I didn't want to invest a ton of money on any one item. I did a lot of research and this company ( gold armour) and this hammock kept coming up. The price was right. The reviews and ratings were all great. And it has a15 year warranty. Plus there was an option for purple *bonus!!!*. My hammock came yesterday evening. Today I w the out in the woods behind my house found a couple trees and set this hammock (along with big net purchase separate) and was relaxing (and kinda hiding from my kids...hehe) in less than 5 minutes. It is super quick and easy I did it all by myself which is important to me. I cannot really comment on disability.. as I've only been laying here just about an hour.. but it seems to be a good quality hammock. It's pretty comfy. Think I might have earned a nap (after a month of homeschooling 😉🤪). I'm pretty tall for a woman.. I'm 5'10" and I have plenty of left room and head space. The description says the hammock will hold 500#... I'll have to take their word for it. I thought the description said this was a double for 2 people .. it's not very wide so I do not believe that another person would comfortably fit in here... Unless we were literally stacked on top of each other... I thought this was an asymmetrical hammock where you would lay at diagonal.. but it's really not I'm slightly at an angle but not much. At this point I would say that it doesn't matter because I am comfortable. I love the color! There only thing I would like to have seen on it if the bug net came with the hammock and was attached. Other than that I really think this is a great product. I'm happy. May revisit after if slept in a couple times

07/2023 - I initially bought this as a birthday gift & it was missing the carabiners that were supposed to be included. Ended up having to buy an additional last minute birthday gift as a replacement. Yes I was annoyed; however I reached out to Gold Armour & they sent the missing carabiners immediately. That’s top notch customer service! 07/2023 - UPDATE: Now the carabiners have arrived I’m setting this up in my living room to hang out with my FurBaby. The material is decent quality, it is roomy with a vivid print. New favorite chill spot. FurMama & FurBaby approved. 04/2025 - UPDATE 2 Years Later: This has become my FAVORITE hammock & I own an ENO. I have upgraded my rating to 5 stars. I just purchased the Gold Armour Bug Net in Light Blue to match. I take this with me wherever I go to utilize it as much as possible. During the winter, this hammock stays up in my living room. The beautiful bright Hawaiian print is lovely & the material is silky & not scratchy. I am buying two more with the included bug net from Gold Armour for my niece & nephew who fight over mine whenever visiting. 😂 I have now purchased a hammock stand to enjoy this beauty in my backyard. 😊 This is a quality hammock from a quality company so if you’re on the fence just make the purchase. Great hammock. I like that the bag is sewn directly on it so that it is never lost. Holds my kids and I easily. Easy to set up once you know what your doing. ***UPDATE*** Well it didn’t last quite a year. Although, it was probably mostly my dogs fault. She had nipped a few small holes at the bottom of the hammock. Between the holes and probably the weather (I took it down during the winter months but left it up all the time during warmer months...so it had rain and sun (some fading) wear) it didn’t last. I fell through it tonight. I’m glad I didn’t hurt myself. This is the 2nd one we have purchased from Gold Armor. The first one had a similar fate where my son and I fell through due to small holes my dog had nipped into it and general wear and tear. Had left a 5 star review previously took a star off due to the fading of my most recent one from Gold Armor. Bought a Hawaiian print one in August of last year. Bought a green one prior to that.

5 stars period. This company makes excellent products. Hammock butt (cold and wet sensation on your butt when laying in a hammock) is very real though... Rather than buying an underquilt, I considered what I had and decided to use my emergency wool blankets and tarp clips. One under, one over (that I lay on). Flip the hammock inside out and over for your underquilt. Then reverse that and do one clip at a time for your wool on the inside. Fair weather, all you need. Otherwise, just have a 3rd blanket. This can of course be done with lighter material than wool but I prefer my aged, soft, and temperature regulating durable wool. About their hammocks themselves, this is my second I've owned (I didn't replace my original, this one just fills a different function) and they are both cherished items. This one and a bugnet variation. I'm SOLD on hammock camping and will never sleep on the ground again unless I just feel like practicing tolerating discomfort. Zero issues and tons of enjoyment. A big thank you to Gold Armour for making a great AND affordable product!

This hammock is the double. It was plenty roomy, as seen in the photos I've added, to put your mat sideways and sit viewing out from the horizontal position or at an angle. Both positions give you a lot of room. I used a caraboner clip to attach my canteen bag and a stuff sack to the line through my bug net sleeve. I was able to keep plenty of things next to me (a book, an arm rest pillow, a travel neck pillow, a drinking canteen, and moist towlettes) and have room to move around. I recommend adding the bug net. It worked really well to keep comfortable through the night from mosquitos and I climbed in after cooking to eat and avoid the meat bees that come after you for your steak and hamburgers. The material looks quality and I hung the nest pretty high in one trip but climbing in it did not tear or have any quality issues pulling myself in from about 3- 3.5 feet up. Which worried me at first. The material is lightweight and the tripple stitching is great. I was uncertain about the detached bug net style at first but many people complained about bug nets that rip from the seam of an attached hammock and so all things considered this net is roomy durable and optional with the plus of not having to worry about it making the hammock itself overly delicate. The bug net and hammock were both easy to set up and easy to take down. I had no problems getting these back into their stuff sacks and was glad the sacks are attached for convenience. I went with this company because it's hard to find American companies these days. I paid a little more to buy local. I am from sacramento and was glad to not only buy American but San Francisco. These pictures were taken about 2 hours from the bay in Shast Trinity Forest McCloud River and Ellery Creek. It was beautiful and my whole trip was comfortable thanks to my Gold Armour.

Wonderful hammock. It’s thin so dries fast and I was able to leave it out when it rains. Offers a good swing. Sturdy enough that I was not worried about falling. Came with everything I needed to set it up. It’s not stretchy but is nice and wide.
