Find the kitty! Lol. Usually there are several cats on this throw, but I think this cat has claimed the throw as hers. It is now the most popular sleeping spot in the house, all the cats take turns. This fake fur is silky feeling, machine washable, and long. My cats seem to love it. My ultimate goal for a pet throw is to keep fur from getting all over my furniture. With a throw, all I have to do is pop it in the washer to clean it. It DOES keep the fur off the rest of the couch. I am planning on getting another of these throws to put across the foot of my bed. My furbabies sleep on the couch and they love blankets. I got this more for the dog- he's a fluffy long hair Aussie and no matter how well you dry him, his fur stays wet for awhile. So on rainy days, I wanted something waterproof to protect our new couch, but soft enough the pets wouldn't think it was for them and refuse to use it. Win Win - this is soft and comfy enough for the humans to use , it doesn't feel like it would be one of those waterproof types and it doesn't make any crinkly noises either. So it's soft enough the dog will lay on it and not push it off the cough when he's wet - and since it's been out, the cats have claimed it as well. One side is the typical sherpa while the other is longer strands - both are soft to the touch and even when I poured water right on them, it absorbed and did not go through. It's also simple to throw in the washer and dryer for quick clean up when needed.

I have a dog who loves to chew through any dog bed he gets ahold of, so he gets a pile of blankets. This just adds to that pile. He liked it and it washed up nicely (I didn’t use the dryer to dry it since the faux fur would melt and get clumpy). Still looks good.

We're using this across the fabric backseat of our compact SUV where our two small dogs ride, secured with tethers and harnesses but able to move around. We've used other waterproof pet blankets and they're adequate for our needs but this is a cut above- both sides are extremely soft. Our dogs are a little more settled than usual during car rides because they like snuggling into the longer side. When it's warmer, we will probably flip to the other side and I think that will be fine with A/C, but this is warm, so if that's a big concern this might not meet your needs. I can't attest to any extraordinary protective properties because that's just not what we need, but this definitely protects the seat from dog feet that are wet from walking in the rain, and it's easy to wash and rotate.

This is a very nice waterproof blanket, the 'fur' side is very soft and nice to sit on, it lacks the plastic-y feeling common in waterproof materials and is really quite nice. It doesn't breath well as a covering, however. It seems to be fully waterproof, was able to test it the day I put it out. Despite her best efforts, my incontinent dog guest was unable to soak the cushions. It washes well, and the furry side seems more durable than I initially feared, with only minor shedding after opening, none after washing.
