I am really pleased with this bench. It is sturdy, attractive and comfortable. Some words are in order about the assembly instructions, however, Other than showing you the order in which a flat washer, a spring washer and the nut goes onto the leg attachment bolts, they are worthless. I have assembled many items like this and always you attach the legs from the bottom. When I turned the bench over, I was met with an enclosing panel and left scratching my head. What you do is open the lid and bolt on the legs from inside the sheet music compartment. DON'T REMOVE THAT BOTTOM PANEL as it is the bottom of the compartment. Also, the leg bolts are covered with plastic tubing,a good thing to prevent the bolts from damaging the legs in the box. However, the fit of the tubing is very tight. My solution was to hold the tubing with pliers while turning the leg. This will result in the tubing screwing off of the bolt. Finally, the bench comes with a little open wrench to turn the leg bolts. Doable, but tedious. Get out your socket wrench to make assembly a breeze. Snug the legs, but don't overdo it and pull the bolts out of the legs. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I purchased the piano bench in Black. Very modern looking, as legs are a shiny black metal which can be changed to any color by paint methods if you are so inclined. The piece came with all the parts to put the legs on with visual picture instructions. Very simple, except I recommend using a real socket wrench or crescent wrench which are out in my backyard shed and it was raining so I just used the cheap tool that was enclosed. Doable but more time consuming. It took me 15 minutes to put together. No damage, packed well. Firm bench, hinged top (padded seat) opens easily and stays open until you push it down. All in all, what I expected for the price. I am a 5'2" 118 lb. 62 year old woman living alone. I will have to adjust my keyboard stand height as bench is taller than the old bench. I just received a 1949 Wurlitzer spinet piano, but it had no bench to go along with it. I found this bench and it matches perfectly. . .same color and it has the same shaped legs. It was very easy to assemble and it is very sturdy and it looks vintage! It will withstand my use and the constant use by my grandkids!!! I recommend this product to anyone. ... show more
