DO get this toy if your dog is a moderate chewer and tends not to go for seams or small details. Maybe a dog who likes to chew and doesn't pay attention to which part of the toy they're chewing on. I could see this toy lasting a really long time for a dog like that, maybe even a big dog with a powerful bite. The toy does best when subjected to general wear and tear. DO NOT get this toy for dogs who go for seams, eyes, armpits, etc or who have closely directed focus with their chewing. I have a rat terrier mix who (probably????) can't bite as powerfully as a Doberman, Pit, GSD, etc, yet she still instantly destroys any soft toy she is given because she specifically seeks out weak areas to destroy. I am sad for her because she gets really relaxed & sleepy with a soft toy, but the fill/bits that she effortlessly slices off are just too scary of a risk for me as an owner. No matter how closely you watch your dog and how fast you get your hands in their mouth if they start eating a part, the toy poses a serious ingestion/choking hazard and there's no escaping that. I even tried to preempt her by cutting off things I knew she would be able to get off, such as the spines & a nostril (she worked the other off in the first 30 seconds.) She was still able to do stuff like bisect a wing in half well away from any seam. She snips away at stuff with her teeth almost like a bread knife or pair of scissors. Again, if any of what I just said also describes your dog's play style, absolutely do not buy this toy. Although I feel like I threw my money in a toilet and it pains me because I am poor, I tried to be fair with my review and not blame the manufacturer for my dog being a pest. She also puts holes in her bed if I don't cover it with towels. She is not bored and gets tons of exercise and attention. I think she just delights in being destructive. It is annoying, but I still love her very much and I am trying to find ways to make her happy. If you have a dog like mine, I'd suggest some Kong toys in various shapes. She is so-so on the Kong ring, instantly loved the treat Kong even without treats inside perhaps because it's pliable when empty and that may feel similar to a soft toy. If you have a dog even more destructive than mine, there are a couple articles and reviews out there that I'd suggest reading before you decide on purchasing anything. ... show more

I bought three different stuffed toys made by GoDog, two are made of the some fabric, the Dino is great, strong, and we've had it for more than a week without any rips, the fabric is GREAT and it is made very well. The Dragon is a different story. This is the second, the first ripped at the seam in less that an hour. I returned it and got a replacement is two days, great so far. The second one lasted 10 minutes, the seam ripped open in the same place. The dino 5 stars but I gave this one 2 stars, zero for the stuffed toy, but for the fact that the dogs will still play with the empty dragon after I removed the stuffing and squeaker. ... show more

One of the most frustrating experiences in being a dog lover besides potty training is how so many toy companies toss around the word "DURABLE" when describing a chew toy. Just stop it, seriously!! Nothing more frustrating than us foolish dog owners of REAL dogs, you know the ones you feed, wash and clean up after. Last I checked this was not a snuggle toy for children. They even try to further push their claim by attaching a sample of the fabric to the toy, "look at this weaving its so special and strong" blah, blah, blah! I have two dogs because if you really love dogs you start to collect them but not like the cat lovers....there is a point you have to acknowledge that litter smell. Okay back to this DURABLE toy, if your purchasing for a puppy that is just getting started in the toy world this will last you quite a bit but the real chewers and squeak obsessed dogs will devour this in seconds!! Thats right, SECONDS! My dog Peaches is 45lbs, she has an obsession for fluffy and squeak installed toys. She will seek this toy out and hone in on its precise location, if you hide it she will find it regardless of obstacles placed. The aftermath of the damage is EVERYWHERE.....worse then a Nature documentary because even they edit out the gruesome bits of entrails everywhere. But I keep ordering 2 of these because it makes them happy, I try to prolong this toys life by rotating toys available to her and our other dog Beau which can help by a couple days or so. But I can't stress enough to all you dog owners this toy is NOT Durable in the least. Don't buy it expecting it to last a long time buy it knowing it will be obliterated beyond all reason, leaving you to collect its remains afterward. And keep your camera handy for those happy smiles of accomplishment on your dog face when the deed is done......its a classic moment. ... show more

I would say, “Aggressive Chewer” is an understatement when describing our fur baby Odin. He is THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS well, at least the destroyer of all things stuffed with squeakers. We have literally spent thousands of dollars on pet toys and chew toys for him and his sister Athena. Bullys are like that, so when I saw this GoDog Dragon Skinny Squeaker toy, I didn’t have high hopes for it lasting for than a day or two. To my amazement, this thing is a BEAST of a plush toy! Odin plays with it every single day and it still squeaks! No fluff coming out anywhere. Nothing and we’ve now had it for 7 months or so! He almost babies it when playing tug of war, my guess is because he loves it so much. The most amazing thing is the squeaker though, it’s not the average tiny round squeaker found in most toys, it’s long, about the size of a toilet paper roll, and I’m sure it has been punctured hundreds of times yet, keeps squeaking like it was brand new! We’ve had really good luck with most of the GoDog plush toys but this dragon is by far the most durable and the one he seems to enjoy the most. I definitely recommend if you also have a “Destroyer of Worlds”living with you. ... show more
