That being said, these last the longest of any other brand I have tried when it comes to plush toys. My Golden Retriever/Lab is 85 pounds and pretty aggressive chewer. These never would have lasted with needle sharp puppy teeth, but he is now 3 and he really likes these. This one replaces the dragon I bought him a year ago. It finally had to be thrown away. There is no such thing as an indestructible dog toy. If your expectations are realistic and your dog is not determined to rip his/her toys to shreds, you will probably get anywhere from 3 months to a year out of this product. ... show more

I gave this toy 5 stars as the toy, as a whole, is durable to rough tugging and play. The one thing to note though, is that the "scales" that stick up along the spine aren't as resistant to chewing and one of them was chewed off by our pup before we noticed what she was doing. This is a small toy, so it may not be good for larger breed dogs. Otherwise, I would definitely buy one again when this one finally meets its end. ... show more

Our pup, Ditto, loves this toy—a little too much. Although she was able to tear it up after several months of rough use, she can still play with it because there is no stuffing to worry about. I got this for my super chewer and it lasted several weeks, is a marked improvement over her other toys as well as my arm. Just ordered two more and probably sticking with these. Not a lot of fuzz to eat, and if your dog destroys it it is easy enough to clean up. Could last longer but short of a brick I don't think anything will withstand her jaws. ... show more

I literally never thought I would find a toy, especially a stuffed toy that my dog wouldn’t break. She has tried so many times to rip it and break it and it hasn’t budged. I have been through countless toys for my boy that claim to be tough and strong, Kevlar lined etc. they all get shredded within minutes. I think these toys are great... Cute but within 5 mins my dog had it torn up stuffing out, squeaker gone... Tho I bought this back in Feb we still keep the outsides to play tug... And tonight my dog came over with this in his mouth I went to grab it and felt something poking at my hand. I saw something shiney... I looked closely and it was the tip of a broken off sewing needle... Thank God I found it before my dogs mouth did... Im sure it wasn't meant to be there... But damn that's scary... ... show more

The toy is super cute and seems well made, but it's not for pups with chewing and hard play. Our heeler is 2 years and still plays rough with his toys. It ripped within 5 minutes of his playing with it. Perfect for smaller dogs or more chill play type dogs.
