I've been using "just for men" beard coloring for my eyebrows for quite some time. It never lasted more than a few days before I was back to blonde "invisible" eyebrows. It's fine to use eyebrow pencils (I stink at them) and the brush on powder (better) but I wanted to at least look like I was alive when I had no make up on. This product so far has lasted for three weeks! I can see it's starting to fade and I plan to re-apply soon. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. No mixing. Just watch the timer. In the instructions, you can choose the "tattoo" approach where it dyes your skin also. You just make sure to get it on your skin however you want it and leave it on longer. I decided to try this because my eyebrows are also thin and I hoped it would fill things in. This didn't work that well for me. First, it came out reddish on my skin. Plus, the edges were uneven. I thought I made a perfect edge but apparently not. So I followed the troubleshooting instructions to fade it and it worked fine. Within 1 or 2 days it was faded off my skin but the tint on the hair remained (not red). Next time, I'll just follow the instructions for dyeing the hair and not my skin. They give you plenty of dye in each packet. So next time, I'll try and preserve the leftovers and hopefully get more applications out of it. I wish they had a color slightly lighter than Medium Brown. I might try leaving it on slightly less than the two minutes to see if it dyes lighter. Very good product and I'm so pleased! :)

Works on Tough Grays, Timing and Application Takes Refinement

This product is great for at-home use, and works to cover gray eyebrows! I lost my brow girl and couldn't find anyone who could work with my schedule. The product works to cover grays for several weeks. The only thing I will say is that it is a messy process, and requires great patience to do this to your own brows. The color was hard to match at first, and I had to experiment to get the timing right and the color saturation I needed. If you don't leave it on long enough (but get a lighter color that you may prefer), it won't fully cover tough gray hair, and it will fade quickly. If you leave it on longer (I finally found that about 7 minutes is what I need to cover tough gray), it will give you a very deep saturated color that is a bit jarring at first. It stains the skin, but it will wear off quickly when washing the face and showering. The applicator is not great, and I have purchased a small makeup brush with short, stiff bristles to apply it now. I have blond hair but darker brows, so I am careful to do this on a night when I don't have plans for a few days to allow the color to soften and wash off my skin. Definitely allow time to experiment and for trial and error so that you can get your perfect color. For me, it works, but I haven't tried any other at-home products besides this one.

Light brown shade is too dark

The eyebrow hair coverage was great, but, the color is too dark for a light brown. So far I have had it on for about a week still looks good as new except it's too dark.

Not Impressed…
Color: Medium Brown
I’ve been using dye for brows for years, and I was actually excited to use this as I noticed in some previous pics that it even stained the skin a bit. I figured I could sue my brows a day or two before an event and it could save me time doing my brows day of. NOT EVEN CLOSE! I did notice in my package a little card that says the dye may be lighter than previous packages bc they changed the formula so maybe that is why MY RESULTS ARE LESS THAN WHAT I GET FROM A BOX OF HAIR DYE to dye my brows! If my results are bc of the formula change, then I HIGHLY suggest the company goes back to the original formula bc I’m returning the rest of it for my money back! It just doesn’t work! NOTHING is stained on my skin AT ALL PLUS my brows don’t even have a lot of color! I very specifically exfoliated my brows the night before and I also used soap and water (plain old gold bar dial so not even a moisturizing soap) so my brows/skin should have accepted the dye well BUT NO! Tbh, as I’m looking at them again, only 15 minutes after going through a half hour (to 45 minute) long process of getting all the dye right-doing one at a time, it looks like NOTHING was done to my brows. I even went to ask my husband if my brows look any different, and you know what he said? “Did you make them thinner!?” So basically, my brows looked better BEFORE I used this dye! Usually when I sue my brows, my husband will tell me they look good and it usually looks like I have makeup on them right after dying. Extremely disappointed, and simply a waste of money in my honest opinion. Even a box of dye from the local drugstore gets A LOT better results! I will repeat that maybe their original product was better as that would explain the pictures previous posters included. If that’s the case, the company made a big mistake bc once a customer doesn’t like your product, they are NOT going to be willing to pay money to for something that didn’t work the first time just to try it again!

Okay so first off, I was kinda nervous as I’d never dyed my brows before. But I got sick of having to apply brow liner every day to darken my naturally blonde-ish eyebrows. This stuff works!!! It was a little confusing to apply, as it says to put on the color and then wait a little bit, and then wipe it away completely with a dry tissue. I wanted a more dramatic color so I left it on for like 6 minutes. However, when it came to wiping it off, it was very difficult to wipe off the dried product 😵💫 I really had to scrub! After doing both steps and cleaning my brows, the color didn’t take very well (I think because I hadn’t wiped off the color well enough), so I did both brows twice. That worked!! I was worried it’d be too dark, but the medium brown isn’t dramatic at all, it’s actually quite subtle. So I’d recommend dying your brows twice, or even 3 times if you need to! Also, one woman recommended to use a spoolie instead of the little stick that comes with it — so I used the spoolie first, and it didn’t apply as evenly as the stick did! So use the stick, ladies 😂 you really gotta slop it on there and make sure each hair gets covered. I had a bit of staining on my skin but that disappeared after two days. I love the result, it’s been lasting very well so far after two weeks, and the price is unbeatable!!! I love that it comes with multiple pouches of the product too. I’m going to try a darker shade next time. I hope this helps another blondie-browed girlie 🥰

Did the formula change?

Update: I just don't have the results I used to have with this eyebrow color. I follow the instructions, take my time, and still the results are patchy. As well, it doesn't last at all. One box even came with only two applications - one missing - was it a return? I'm giving up on this eyebrow color. Just not doing it for me any longer. --------------- This is so much better than the powder capsules I used to use. I did not like having to mix the powder and my results weren't as good, and as well, didn't last as long. Put petroleum jelly on the areas above and below your eyebrows -- I did this but the little applicator they provided gave me such a precise application that I didn't have any worries about staining where I didn't want the color to stain--I took my time and was careful and I suggest you do that too; do this when you have a little time to color your eyebrows and aren't in a hurry, though it doesn't take very long all total. You apply the eyebrow color cream first, let it sit 2 minutes, blot excess 'dry,' and then apply the developer and leave that for one minute, and then wipe with a damp cloth or tissue/paper towel. Better to do one eyebrow at a time as they suggest so they both get the same developing time. This is more potent than the powder capsules, so note that. I have the medium brown and I left it on only for the two minutes/1 minute and my brows were dark enough. It seems to stain the skin underneath but if so it looked good and I was happy with my results. So I caution you not to leave it on too long the first time you do it--you can always reapply for darker results if necessary. It's been 5 days and my brows still look good. I do notice some of it is wearing away but I also used oil cleanser a few times and that likely is why some is wearing away. However, my brows still look good and I have not had to use any eyebrow color for this entire time. I don't think it'll last 4 weeks but even a week or two would be great not to have to color in my baby fine brows every day! Especially if I'm busy, or have to travel, or a situation where I just don't have much time. I'm happy with my order and will order again when this runs out. Better by far than the powder capsules.

Really work well!

Ohmygosh. This really covers gray eyebrows. I have so many! I ordered medium brown based on another review. Glad I did. It’s very dark. I have dark brown hair almost black and dark eyebrows. The dark brown would have been way too dark and intense. It colors very fast. Instructions suggested to leave it on 1 minute for the first step application and 2 minutes for the second step. It also said to leave it on longer if you wanted to color the skin too get a tattoo affect. Just a warning that it really does tint the skin so you have to be careful how you outline your brows. Otherwise, you end up with super thick looking brows! I used an q tip after applying it to clean up the edges to the shape I wanted under the hair. I still kind of messed up and had to use a little to clean up around the edges of my brow! Next time I’ll be more careful! I would say that it seems kind of expensive . You only get 3 applications. So you waste quite a bit of product with one packet. I still had a lot left.

Say goodbye to white or grey eyebrows!

I started getting white eyebrow hairs a year or so ago. At first, I would just pluck them out. Then I started to get more and plucking was leaving gaps in my eyebrows that I was filling in with an eyebrow pencil. More prep time every morning - frustrating! While working from home, I thought, "I'm just going to let those grow in," but I really didn't like the way it looked. Enter Godefroy Instant Eyebrow Color, **Medium Brown**. I was concerned this color wouldn't work on my eyebrows because 1. the hair on my scalp is dye resistant, so at the salon I have to sit the full 45 minutes; this quick result formula made me skeptical, and 2. a couple of the white eyebrow hairs were really thick. Even so...I was hopeful this would work. I didn't bother with putting Vaseline on my skin because I was worried I'd get some on the brow hairs and mess up the dye. I did one brow at a time as suggested. I put packet #1 (brown dye) on the brow for two minutes as directed. I was worried at this point because I could still clearly see the white hairs. I just gobbed a little more on there. Used a q-tip to wipe the dye off my skin surrounding my brow. Dabbed dry after 2 minutes. Still, white hairs. <sigh> Then I applied packet #2 (gel activator) and OH MY GOSH the gel instantly tuned an inky black color and my worry swung the other way - What if end up with Groucho Marx eyebrows?? I waited the directed 1 minute, wiped the gel off, and......YAY! All the white / grey eyebrow hairs are dyed the same color as the rest of my brows. It was perfect! A couple points... First, I did have to scrub the color off my skin because, as I mentioned, no Vaseline. It came off easily, so I will use the same approach next time. (Tip learned from my salon - a tiny squirt of Windex on a washcloth easily removes hair dye off your skin) Second, my scalp hair is a slightly brownish black. Looks black inside, slightly brownish tint in the sun. I dye it the same color as it is naturally just to color the greys. On my brows, I used Godefroy's MEDIUM BROWN, and my brows ended up matching my natural color. If you have lighter hair, you might consider using light brown. Third, as others have noted, you need to wash your eyebrows well to remove all the dye from the skin under your brow. This will also happen naturally as you wash your face over the next day or two. I will buy this again and stop spending time every day with the eyebrow pencil. YAY! **UPDATE: If I could give this 10 stars, I would. It's now been a couple months since I first used this dye. Now that my grey brows are dyed the same color as the rest of my brows, I'm no longer plucking them out and my brows are filling in nicely. Love that! But, wow, my eyebrow hairs grow out quickly. Just like on your scalp, those dyed hairs grow out with grey roots. The longer part of the hair still has dye on it, but the roots are grey. I end up touching them up about every 3 weeks, not because the dye has faded but because those grey roots start getting too visible. But just 5 minutes and they're gone! I LOVE this product.**
