I've been using "just for men" beard coloring for my eyebrows for quite some time. It never lasted more than a few days before I was back to blonde "invisible" eyebrows. It's fine to use eyebrow pencils (I stink at them) and the brush on powder (better) but I wanted to at least look like I was alive when I had no make up on. This product so far has lasted for three weeks! I can see it's starting to fade and I plan to re-apply soon. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. No mixing. Just watch the timer. In the instructions, you can choose the "tattoo" approach where it dyes your skin also. You just make sure to get it on your skin however you want it and leave it on longer. I decided to try this because my eyebrows are also thin and I hoped it would fill things in. This didn't work that well for me. First, it came out reddish on my skin. Plus, the edges were uneven. I thought I made a perfect edge but apparently not. So I followed the troubleshooting instructions to fade it and it worked fine. Within 1 or 2 days it was faded off my skin but the tint on the hair remained (not red). Next time, I'll just follow the instructions for dyeing the hair and not my skin. They give you plenty of dye in each packet. So next time, I'll try and preserve the leftovers and hopefully get more applications out of it. I wish they had a color slightly lighter than Medium Brown. I might try leaving it on slightly less than the two minutes to see if it dyes lighter. I am so impressed with this eyebrow kit. I found it very easy to use. The instructions were very thorough and easy to follow. The directions say to use petroleum jelly around the eyebrows to avoid skin staining but I didn't use that and I was fine. You just need to be careful and wipe away the tint if it gets anywhere other than the eyebrows. It dries down sort of like henna which makes the removal a little difficult but I used a dry cloth initially then a spoolie brush to get some of the tint off before moving on to the next step. I did one application initially and only let it sit for 2 mins. Then i repeated the process a second time to get a bit darker tint. They've lightened a bit since I dyed them but they look very natural still. ... show more

I wasn’t aware they changed the packaging. I previously purchased when they made it with capsules of powder, which wasn’t the easiest to open, but you could mix it and do both eyebrows at the same time and control the color with time and it was the perfect color brown that did not stain the skin. I read the directions and I did one eyebrow at a time. I have two different color eyebrows which I’ve never had that happen before, my eyebrows are now black, but supposed to be light to medium brown, one eyebrow is stained on the skin and the other one is blotchy. I don’t know how long it’s going to take to fade, but I will never do it again. The color is black, not brown. I look ridiculous. I’m just happy I’m not traveling and that I have a good sense of humor. ... show more

Does it work? Yes! Does it stay for 2+ weeks? Also, yes! Should someone with red hair, and the lightest eyebrows ever, use this? NO! I used medium brown, and didn’t leave it on the full two mins because and my eyebrows are black. There’s no medium brown about it, but it works and was easy to use! Pic for enjoyment! Second pic is me scrubbing for 4 days straight, and buying the stain remover - nothing changed. I used a pencil to ease the color. ... show more

I've been using this product for ages and have loved it, but recently they changed the formula and like a lot of other reviewers I was a bit disappointed with it at first. It took some getting used to, but honestly after using it a few times, I think this new formula is just as effective as the previous one - AND it comes with 3 dye kits instead of 2, so you can dye your brows 3 times per purchase (each time lasting for weeks!). This is the quickest and easiest brow dye available for an affordable price. I do think they could do with an upgrade on the applicator - it's basically just a thin stick that makes the new thicker formula a bit harder to work with. I use clean spoolies instead and the results are MUCH better, it allows me to just dye the brow hairs without staining my skin! I think if the company improved their applicator, a lot of people would have an easier time. That minor complaint aside, this is the brow dye that I always use and I continue to be happy with it after figuring out how to work with the new formula. ... show more

I started getting white eyebrow hairs a year or so ago. At first, I would just pluck them out. Then I started to get more and plucking was leaving gaps in my eyebrows that I was filling in with an eyebrow pencil. More prep time every morning - frustrating! While working from home, I thought, "I'm just going to let those grow in," but I really didn't like the way it looked. Enter Godefroy Instant Eyebrow Color, **Medium Brown**. I was concerned this color wouldn't work on my eyebrows because 1. the hair on my scalp is dye resistant, so at the salon I have to sit the full 45 minutes; this quick result formula made me skeptical, and 2. a couple of the white eyebrow hairs were really thick. Even so...I was hopeful this would work. I didn't bother with putting Vaseline on my skin because I was worried I'd get some on the brow hairs and mess up the dye. I did one brow at a time as suggested. I put packet #1 (brown dye) on the brow for two minutes as directed. I was worried at this point because I could still clearly see the white hairs. I just gobbed a little more on there. Used a q-tip to wipe the dye off my skin surrounding my brow. Dabbed dry after 2 minutes. Still, white hairs. <sigh> Then I applied packet #2 (gel activator) and OH MY GOSH the gel instantly tuned an inky black color and my worry swung the other way - What if end up with Groucho Marx eyebrows?? I waited the directed 1 minute, wiped the gel off, and......YAY! All the white / grey eyebrow hairs are dyed the same color as the rest of my brows. It was perfect! A couple points... First, I did have to scrub the color off my skin because, as I mentioned, no Vaseline. It came off easily, so I will use the same approach next time. (Tip learned from my salon - a tiny squirt of Windex on a washcloth easily removes hair dye off your skin) Second, my scalp hair is a slightly brownish black. Looks black inside, slightly brownish tint in the sun. I dye it the same color as it is naturally just to color the greys. On my brows, I used Godefroy's MEDIUM BROWN, and my brows ended up matching my natural color. If you have lighter hair, you might consider using light brown. Third, as others have noted, you need to wash your eyebrows well to remove all the dye from the skin under your brow. This will also happen naturally as you wash your face over the next day or two. I will buy this again and stop spending time every day with the eyebrow pencil. YAY! **UPDATE: If I could give this 10 stars, I would. It's now been a couple months since I first used this dye. Now that my grey brows are dyed the same color as the rest of my brows, I'm no longer plucking them out and my brows are filling in nicely. Love that! But, wow, my eyebrow hairs grow out quickly. Just like on your scalp, those dyed hairs grow out with grey roots. The longer part of the hair still has dye on it, but the roots are grey. I end up touching them up about every 3 weeks, not because the dye has faded but because those grey roots start getting too visible. But just 5 minutes and they're gone!
